disconnected batt - now surging/lurching? wtf
i had an ses light for no apparent reason..couldnt figure out why so i disconnected the batt to reset it n see if it comes back..now when I drive i get a pretty bad surging/lurching while accelerating...like engine is giving in and out..its a 6mt and i feel it mostly at rpms up to 4k...last time i had this problem was in my 2k maxima and turned out to be the common maf sensor problem.. but i dont wanna just buy a maf for this car and find out its not that. any suggestions? btw ses light code, loked up tsb said check for exhaust leaks and check injector voltage or something no exhaust leaks and doubt its injectors... 136k miles.

chances are the ses light will come back. let us know what it is when it does. I would do the seafoam cleaning procedure and see if that helps. Also get some MAF cleaner. I recommend cleaning the MAF everytime you change your intake filter. Surging can be caused by alot of things, that code would be nice. Check your rpm needle at idle and see if it is steady or moving. should be steady if not clean the MAF and do the idle learn procedure after that, but only if needed.
