Yeah... you won't hurt the engine or anything. I wouldn't worry about that.

As far as getting the ECU reflashed... Technosquare?

If you can find a shop by you that uses Osirus, go for it. It's the best option for our cars IMO.

http://uprev.com

I'll be doing that sometime within the next year.

Well I was thinking Technosquare.... Osirus, is that something that will replace my SAFCII or is it just a tool they use to reflash the ECU?

It's a software program that flashes your ECU. If you find a tuner that uses it, they plug in via laptop to the OBDII port while on the dyno and do some data logging. Either they can tune themselves, or most likely, they will email the logs to uprev and they send back a custom flash for your car. That can take up to 3-4 weeks. Totally worth it IMO. No downtime or anything.

There are some YouTube videos I think.

Okay been checking into the Uprev, here is what they said:

"We're still trying to find a Pro Tuner shop in CO. I hear alot of talk, but no one wants to see to bite so far. The 2005 Maxima should have the newer style ECU so our product should work with it, but you'll need to find a shop that can dyno tune it as we don't offer base tunes for the Maxima yet."

Unless someone knows otherwise. Anyone working with Upgrev on an 05 Maxima?

They haven't gotten their hands on a 6th Gen Maxima themselves yet... and from what I've seen, none of the shops in the country that uses Osiris has had one. The local shop here:

http://www.grdperformance.com

... actually got back to me, and said they could tune me, and send the files to UpRev so they can send them back a tune to flash my ECU... would take up to 4 weeks for that.

I should start asking for donations... lol
