The Tale of my grille.

The tale of my grill.

It’s nothing major but it was a bit of effort to get this thing completed. Back in the day bought a Street Scenes Speed Grille from Stillen. I was very happy with it. Chrome, went well with the car.

It had finally seen enough winters and basketballs from my kids. So I decided to change it up to a C-Mod grille. I made the purchase but I know the mesh that comes with it is rather thin and cheap. So I checked out some stuff on Ebay and figured I'd give this guy a shot. It's $20 so what do I really have to lose. For whatever it's worth, I figured I'd post it up.

LOL LOOK WHAT SHOWED UP

CHARGED ME $17 SHIPPING AND WRAPPED AT THE POST OFFICE?

I GUESS YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR: IT DOES SEEM PRETTY BRIGHT BUT KINDA THIN.

I got some good advice and went to http://www.customcargrilles.com/ and ordered the sample pack. I went with the third row, first mesh.

BUT I was so used to the Chrome mesh I had on the street Scene grill, I just couldn’t get used to the aluminum.

I decided a black powder coated grill might look decent, it would tie in the bumper insert section and it's only like $50.

OVAL STACKING:

I decided to go with the Oval Stacking but inverted from the pics at Custom car grills

I really like the way it came out, very happy with the change. That bright aluminum was just off color too much. The quality mesh and powder coating job seems really good. That black is very shiny.

Is 125 for powder coating my chrome grille worth it? Or is it overpriced......I was thinking of doing a mirror black but suggestions are welcome.

Mine came powder coated, but if your talking black chrome, that would be sweet!

I was thinking of that but it wouldn't match anything else on the car. I just went with a 60% gloss black. If I were to get another 6.5 I would definitely do a black and black chrome theme.
