Hi Guys. Very New and wondering if you could assist?
2006 Maxima. Dash board lights very erratic when on auto. Sometimes they come on and sometimes not. All other lights work OK. Just that with headlights on, I can't see what speed I'm going?? Any thoughts?

 

there is a small dial on the left side when sitting in the drivers seat. Turn it up. The auto dash lights dim due to the light received by the sensor on the dash.

 

Thanks for the reply. The dim switch was one of the first things I tried.

The dash board light function/or non function is very intermittent. The seems to be no consistency. I not sure if it could be a lose connection somewhere?
Just concerned that if I take to a dealer, they're going to tell me I need a whole new indicator set!
