engine died while driving

Here is what happened....I was driving on the highway about 65 miles an hour when all of the sudden it was like someone had just shut off the ignition. looked down at the dash and all the lights that come on when you first turn on the key were on. I coasted to a stop and the car would crank but not turn over.i took the car to a Nissan dealership and they said my crank sensor and cam sensor were both bad so they replaced them and it started but ran like crap and then both sensors went back out according to them. they said the ohms were high.so they called the Nissan engineers and they told them it was either the timing chain or a cracked flywheel that was ruining the sensors. I dont believe them on the timing chain as it only has 18,000 miles on it since it was replaced and I use synthetic oil. Also when the car died it made no noise at all and it just slowed to a stop. Please if someone has had this happen to them I'm at my wits end. I'm already up to 670 dollars and its still not running. they also said it was showing 7 degrees off on the timing but said that it equates to only half a tooth.

i was going to say alternator at first, but don't want to guess as i'd like to know if your c/e light came on and if you had any codes. don't trust the stealership, wait until until you get a scan tool and check it first. also, call the guy who did the chain and tell them what the idiots said at the stealership and tell him what you told us.

yes the check engine light came on and gave the code for cam sensor code bank 1 so i changed it out and still no start so i changed the crank sensor and still no start so i put the old parts back on and got my money back. i called a mobile mechanic and we went through all the stuff like fuel and spark and had all of that. took the IPDM out of the box it is in by the windshield washer fluid bottle and removed the ignition breaker and we took a test light and put the clip on the positive side of the battery and probed the slot where the breaker went and it started for just a second like it got power there from the battery but the test light wasn't enough juice to keep it running. thats when i took it to the dealership thinking they would be able to hook up a computer and find the problem and thats where im at now. they said the computer said the IPDM board test good but I dont think they really checked. It has to be something electrical the way it just shut off while driving with no noises what so ever.

Just curious what other if any work was done to this car before your initial loss of power/car shutting off. Was timing chain and other engine work done recently??
