Where is the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) located? Manual Transmission

Hello from MI. Just bought a 2006 Maxima 6 Speed manual and I cannot seem to find the VSS (vehicle speed sensor) anywhere. All the info online shows the location for Automatics only. Do the 6 speed manuals get the speed information from another sensor?

I revised your thread title. Saying hello and the year of your Max doesn't tell us what your question or comment is, and helps no one who uses the search engine.
Welcome the Org.
Hopefully someone will chime in and answer your question. You can start by downloading the factory service manual (FSM) for free in the link in my signature. From there, you can easily determine yourself the location of the VSS.

Typically, the VSS is located on the side of the transmission casing.

Thank you for the revision and letting me know. After navigating the factory service manuals and locating the Manual transmission link I do not see any VSS on the manual transmission. Only a Park/Neutral position switch and the Back-up lamp switch both of which I have located on my actual vehicle. I have the slip, TCS off, Park, and ABS light on along with my Speedo not working at all.

Was this originally an automatic and it was swapped? If so, then it sounds like the transmission module wasn't swapped along with the transmission swap.

It is using an ABS sensor at the wheel.

In component diagram, one looks like a shape of a VSS, but it is referred as 'Speedometer Pinion Gear'. It could be the location you are looking for, see item 21 in page MT-19.
