04 Max won't start after tranny rebuild and clutch/flywheel replacement.
Yeah, I don't think it was me, even though I have my doubts but if the dowel pin was correct and it wasn't turning on, it must've been from shipping. I know for sure I didn't drop on istall or nothing. But either way I don't want to "Straighten it" and have to pull out again.
It's aliiiiiiiveeeee!!!! Thanks for all your help. That bent flywheel was the issue. Swapped with the new one, put all back together and on the first try it fired right up! Tomorrow test drive, but men I'm glad that I'm not hearing that grinding from the input shaft anymore!!!! Million thanks!!!
Awesome! Yeah, the FSM even states not to store it upside down. It's a sensitive part. Something to do with magnetism I bet. Glad Rockauto came through so quickly, that was fast!
Come back tomorrow and let me know how it ran!

Yeah, I'm not sure but that timing ring bends easier than the flywheel and they still ship it with the ring facing down and no protection under. All the air bubbles in the box were at the top, leaving the bottom unprotected. But it seems they handled this one better than the last, cause thank God it came straight. And yeah they came through quickly, just paid a bit more for 2 day shipping and it's still a lot cheaper than buying at a local part store, that's the good side of it. But yeah I will definitely let you know how it runs tomorrow! Good night and thanks again!
I'm testing it right now and so far it's running amazing, gears go in like butter, no need to push and its super quiet now thank God and you! The only thing that just happened, I just pulled into the gas station and as soon as I stopped, it cut off by itself. After refuling I reved a couple of times to 2000 and it did it again. Right now I'm still standing here and it hasn't done it again. But other than that it's just running perfect!!! Tick tock... 😆 🤣 Thanks again!
