Lease deals

I am new to the maxima.org forums and currently I drive a 2007 Altima 2.5. I am looking to move up to a 2009-2010 Maxima. I was recently quoted for a 3yr lease on a 2009 Maxima S at $399/month or $429/month for the Maxima SV. Does this sound like a good lease price???

Also in my area Ohio, the current incentive is $1750 cash back or 0% financing. Does anyone know if the $1750 cash back only applies if you are going to buy the car or does that also count for leasing.

Maxima SV Price

You can do much better on the price. Got an 09' SV in August in NYC with cold pkg, bluetooth pkg, for $31,300. Lease was $385 month. If any 09's left should be in the $350 range for an S, and $380 for SV...

No money down of course!

You can't really compare the NYC and Ohio deal though. Different incentives, different regions. The only reason I know this is b/c I currently got a deal in Columbus, Ohio and the girl explained why the pricing is so different b/c of the regions.

I would say the payment for the S is outrageous and the payment for the SV is not bad depending on factors such as residual, down payment and other items.

Thanks,
-Rich

Those numbers were with $500 down payment. I will try to talk them down some more this weekend. My Altima lease is not due to be turned in till December 15 so I have time to negotiate a good price. I also got a offer in the mail from Nissan that said they would pay my last 3 payments of my current lease if I lease another Nissan.

I must disagree with you on the incentives game dealers play.

Nevertheless, a $500 down payment is not bad, if that includes 1st month, and dmv fees. If you could get a Maxima S for $350 a month, I think thats a great deal.

When I did shopping i got final prices from $455 to $385 a month on Maxima SV, you should have a lot of leverage since 2010 is out in like 2 weeks.

2010, fully loaded, Premium with Tech package. I thought it might be pretty good, took a lil bit to get'em down to that. Nothing down, and I would be trading in my car which they valued @ 11.5k, I still owed 10k so I'd basically be making 1.5k on it (which I'd pay the TTL fees with). I tried to push him down further but I don't think it went over well. I explained to them for roughly the same price I had an infiniti dealer that was going to put me in a G37X, so if they really wanted my business they would have to sweeten the deal. I also questioned there tactic of 42 month lease with a 36 month warranty... wtf is that all about? They never got back to me on that... (shady way to make u purchase extra coverage). I miss my 05' Max but my 09' G so far is treatin' me pretty good . If your really interested in that deal u should shop it around to all the nissan dealers in your area and see if they will bite.

I understand what you are saying, but that's like saying the price of Milk in Ohio should be the same in NYC which it is not. The deal with cars should work the same way since they are in different parts of the country, taxes, etc. So the price you get in NYC could be vastly different, especially when it comes to leasing. Just my 2 cents since i am not in the car business for a living..

Hi everyone just purchased a 09 Maxima Sv Premium/Premium Tech package White/Charcoal. I got it for 35,400 not including dealer, tax etc. Could have got a better deal if the car was local they had to pick it up from a different region. Picking up the car next week after they install the spoiler.

Our friend just picked up a 2010 Maxima SV with Premium/Tech package for $33,600. They had to get it from Wichita Falls in the color she wanted, and it had some add-ons, for about $350. The SVs with the Premium/Tech package they had on the lot, had a price of $32,700.

Just got a 2010 SV with Sport & Tech in Radiant Silver for $34,750 from CarsDirect. Had to pay a few extra $$ to ship it from out of state, but saved high doc fees in AZ so it worked out about even.

If your friend is telling you all the details, then this is the deal of the century! I am finding it hard to believe they got a $39K just released 2010 Maxima SV Premium + tech for $33.6. Thats $5,400 off sticker or nearly 14% off! Something does not add up.

Richmusch:
I agree with you 100%, but when sometimes people come up astonishing deals when they buy cars from different regions...like the midwest...hint hint.

Can you get us more details as how they managed to get that price? Any special discounts applied?

Actually, I was there with her when she bought it. She paid $36,212.97 tax, title and registration included. We test drove the car at another dealer--they had the color combination she wanted. I suggested we stop by Gunn Nissan here in San Antonio--they use a one simple price--no negotiation, and I thought I'd see what price they would quote on the same car. Their price was $32,678 for an SV Prem/tech listed at $39,160. The lowest we could get the other dealer down to was $37,700 out the door. Gunn had to get the car from Wichita Falls, and it had pin stripes, wheel locks and nitrogen in tires (what a crock!) for an added $349, but we still got it cheaper.

Well congrats on the new Maxima, they will love it. You have also gotten the best deal I have ever seen on a Maxima. Two questions:
1. Was this car financed?
2. Was this car a demo & if so, how many miles were on it?

On second thought, was their a trade in involved? The lowest price (before Tax, title, license, fees) I have ever seen on any forum anywhere for an 09' Maxima SV Prem + Tech was $34,800 (including dest). I am inquisitive to know how you managed to beat the best price I have ever seen by over $2,000?

She's financing it through a credit union, so she wrote a check to the dealer. He did offer her 2.9% financing, though--but she wanted the ease of working with the credit union. Not a demo--it had 327 miles on it when she got it, but it was driven down to San Antonio fron Wichita Falls, which is close to 300 miles.
And there was no trade involved--she's selling her 94 Mercury Topaz tonight.

Like I said, she paid some extra to have it shipped here, and it had $349 worth of extras on it. Quoted price for their cars (they had the Tuscan Sun with black interior Prem/Tech) was $32,678+T,Tl &lic.

P.S. The Gunn Auto group here work on a simple price they set--no barganing, so you have decide if it's a good deal. The Gunn Infinity dealer has an M35 Sport at about a $9000 discount when we were there last week.

thats quite a down payment; if your going to finance the rest might as well take advantage of nissans 0% 60 months.

that's including the 1750 discount or else it'd be 26,800 + 1750 and then get the 0% financing which i probably won't get because my credit isn't at 700 or above

New Here, Been a Lurker on the boards for almost a year deciding if I should do it or north. The wealth of information here is incredible.
Getting 2010 premium/tech for $33,500 excluding taxes. Seems like a fairly good deal, but I would like your imput. I have gone through what others paid for it, but I have realized dealer price flexibilty depends on the place and the period of the you are negotiating the car

Does $33,500 include destination of $720?

If you can get a 2010 Maxima SV Prem + Tech, I would say do it, better deal than anyone in NYc area has gotten.

Life in California: FYI, I did better than $26,800 at Premier Nissan in San Jose but I saw in today's newspaper that they are selling three Maxima S at $24,990...this is much better than my deal. I dealt with Rod Parfett, a great guy, and the internet/fleet manager. Rod will take care of you after the sale, too. You can find him at nissanofsanjose.com.

Just so you know, I don't work there and have nothing to do with the dealership or Nissan. I am a very satisfied buyer of my Maxima at Premier Nissan.

35k for demo???

I went to the Stealership today to peep the new Maxima. Dealer showed me a fully loaded demo car with prem, tech, and sport packages. However, it had 3,900 miles and looked like it hasn't been washed in months. He said the store manager drove it.

Anyway, so we were discussing pricing, and it stickered for 41k after dealer installed crap. He was like, yeah there is a rebate cuz its a 09' and I'll take some off cuz its a demo. Came back to me with 37k. I was like, dude there is freaking 3900 miles on it and some bird crap. I was gonna walk and he was like ok 35k plus tax and tag, so I guess 36k. I went home to think over it. I still think its too high, reading here some of you guys paid 31k OTD.

Do you guys think this is a good deal for a fully loaded demo? Its a SV with spoiler, xeon lights, only doesn't have dual moon roofs. This is in North Carolina. Thanks.

No way that is a good deal. I paid less than 35k for my 2010 SV + Sport. They're trying to sell you a used car for a new car price.

I don't think that is a good deal, doesn't sound like a the prem/prem tech package if it doesn't have the dual moon roof; seems like add on options.

Yeah thats what I thought. This was with me offering to put $9500 down too! They refused to discuss the finance rate or OTD price, instead focusing on the monthly payments.

This was East Charlotte Nissan. Stay away!

Just purchased the 2010 SV Sport (tech, monitor, sport packages) and only add-ons were mats and splash guards for $36,500. Dealers have little incentive to discount now - they sold two others that I was looking at within the 24 hours and were selling another as I was doing paperwork. We also bought, at the same time, a 2009 Murano LE for $38,500 with all available bells and whistles.

We didn't get a steal but am happy with deals.

Just went to a dealer today and my mom picked up an 09 rouge for 24k OTD.... So I was lookin at an 09 max w/ prem/tech that the dealer was driving. It has 1800 miles and his first offer was 37k. I think that's a little high and being that my mom just purchased the rouge and the max will be in her name as well I think we should get a little better of a deal. Dealer is in the Bronx. Anybody else think I should be able to do better?

Hey guys. I'm reading several of the posts and it seams to me many of you are looking at the list price (sticker) of the car and try to negotiate down from that price. 35k for a "used" 09 or even 10 dealer demo. I don't think so. I would not pay that much for a new one, and didn't. My deal: 2010 SV premium, mats, splash guards, spoiler, and trunk organizer. $33969.00 plus t,t & t. That is $615.00 below "dealer invoice". Now with the $500.00 cash back ($750.00 on 2009), hold back, floor plan insentives, etc., I know they made money. They have to make money. I bought from the internet manager @ John Lee Nissan in Panama City Florida. I never met him until the day I picked up the car. I did my homework, found several cars I wanted, and when I was ready to buy, I emailed my offer. He realized I had done my research and agreed to my first offer.
I would think one could save another $1000.00 to $1500.00 on a 2009. Don't ask what they will sell you a car for. Decide what you want, do research and tell the dealer what you are willing to pay. There are too many cars out there on the lots to get a bad deal. You can go to Edmonds.com for invoice information. Thanks, Jeff.

This was East Charlotte Nissan. Stay away!
all dealerships will talk monthly payment if you let them. They want the total expense to not seem that bad. When talking to them, start off by saying, I can afford to pay with cash so don't worry about if I can afford it. If they say a single word about payments, correct them again by saying focus on the deal and the monthly payment will fall where it does.

I'm actually surprised that dealerships would do that crap with a $30k+ vehicle. It's not like people are punk kids or looking at a $12k car

That is a beautiful advetisement and all from Morries Nissan...but good luck if you think your going to walk in there and get a 2010 Maxima SV with the sport and tech packages for $32,999 or less. I recently saw an ad in an NYC paper for a 2009 Maxima SV for $24,999. Leases for $199, etc. They can basically tell you any price they chose to lure you into the dealership. Getting internet quotes in a good starting point and can be used as leverage, but from my experiences most people end up paying more for the car then the internet quote on all kinds of automobiles.

Wrong

I went to the dealership, this price is on the window of the car. They are a 'no haggle' dealership. Not sure what you are basing your comment on, but I'm getting this price. I'm leasing the car out the door for $975 drive-off and $455/month including tax. Sucks to be me I guess. Just trying to decide between Ocean Mist and Dk Slate. Think I'm going Slate.
