True Cars rates this deal as a 'great price.'

On paper, I'd say it's just about average for the year, trim/packages, mileage, and area (Mass, NH, and RI).

All they did was drop the price to what it was prior to the CPO. If you are willing to put in the leg work, I'd bet you could find a better deal.

A couple months ago I paid about $23000 for a 2010 SV sport with about 23k miles just up the street in Auburn, MA. I also had a pretty good experience at Raynham Nissan, though I didn't end up buying a car through them.

Edit - Scratch that, slightly ... I didn't realize it was Prem pckge. I'll revise my opinion and say it's a good, not great deal. Just below average pricing.

Make sure they don't just tack the $500 (or more) onto something else (i.e. trade, finance, extras, etc.).

If you can ... secure financing from an outside lender (credit union). FYI if your credit score is around 800 you should have no trouble getting 2.9%.

Good luck!

Curious ... did you trade your 03? If you did and don't mind divulging, how much did you get for it? What is/was the mileage on the 03?

I have to admit you had me scratching my head for a second. I thought to myself how on earth would you know I had an '03...then I realized it's in my signature. I haven't had the '03 for years. I think I sold it in '05 or so. I just re-joined the forums with my old account after I bought the '12. This was a straight purchase, no trade-ins.

Guess I should update my signature lol.

Haha ... no worries.

I got my 2012 Maxima SV + Tech out the door for $31.2k. I got 0%, no money down, and all that since I bought it just before the year ended. Also, when I spoke to the dealer over the phone, she said the Crimson Black was available (which is the color I REAAAAALLY wanted!) but when I went in early the next morning, they said they didn't have it. I had to drive two hours to get to that dealership and I was really disappointed that they didn't have that color. Eventually, the dealer decided to bring her original quote down by $1k after I told her all that I ended up taking the red one in the showroom back home.

I'm a 2nd time proud owner of 2010 Max in the last month. The 1st was a certified 2010 Silver S model purchased for $21K on Dec 31st. That vehicle was then totaled 8 days later after I was involved in a bad rear end collision. A woman apparently paying no attention slammed into me while I was stopped in traffic going approx 55mph. Pictures Here Just grateful my family wasn't with me at the time otherwise they could have been seriously injured.

Last Thursday I drove 200+mi and purchased another 2010 Max but this one is Crimsom Black SV Sport + Tech Pkg (Certified, 1-owner, Nav, Backup Cam, 19" smoked wheels) w/ 59K mi for $20.5K & 7yr/100K mi extended warranty.

All in all, very happy with how everything turned out. Love my new Max, has all the options I wanted in the first place, love the color, not real big on the ride of the RSA's but I'll live. Got complemints from strangers the first day I filled up at gas station. Now waiting for this weather to warm up a lil to do some modding

Nice ... 0% APR is clutch. Too bad about the Crimson Black but Tuscan Sun is a sweet color.

Wow dude, you got lucky there. Looks like a real nasty accident ... was the other driver hurt?

Nice that you were able to pick up another Max so quickly. How'd you get the smoked wheels on the 2010?

Speakin of wheels ... you should grab the wheels off the totaled vehicle. Looks like the only things that are salvageable.

Yeah, been with State Farm for 15+ yrs, they took care of me, also glad the other driver has insurance. The EMT's pulled her out on a stretcher and honestly I was so out of it we never even spoke. Everything happened so fast, like most accidents do, all I could think about was getting outta the car ASAP after seeing smoke coming from the hood and liquid leaking from beneath both vehicles.

About the wheels, no idea. They actually looked bronze color in pictures while researching the car online and when I got there, sure enough they were darker than the ones on the silver max. Windows were smoked/tinted, has spoiler, xenon headlights and black leather interior with the red stitching. Another plus is I'm an IT guy and that plain orange screen was killing me on the silver max so definitely enjoying the nav/tech pkg in this one.

Completely agree. Suspension was too soft for me on the non turbo limited we had too. I was all over the road.

every person I know with a sonata of the current gen and the previous gen have a bazillion broken plastic pieces on the inside and the outside of the car.
Seriously, my best friend's 07 sonata... the cup holder interior piece broke in 3 pieces, the plastic piece of the latch for the fuel door broke and the fuel door wont stay closed, a **** broke off the stereo dash, etc etc and he was NOT abusing it. that all happened within 6 months of buying the car in '10.

A woman I work with has a '12 Sonata and she already has 2 broken little plastic pieces on the interior and she is pissed her husband bought her the Hyundai instead of the Camry's she has always had before.

I love the exterior and interior styling of the sonata and the drive train is solid but the quality of other parts in the car is sooo bad.

BACK ON TOPIC:
Bought my '10 Maxima SV w/ cold pkg only on New Years Eve
Certified pre-owned, 32k miles, Super Black on Cafe Latte leather
$22,300.

I drove an '09 SV w/ Premium, cold, and monitor pkg, 41k miles, Certified, same color combo SuperBlack on Cafe Latte, advertised for $20,500. It was BEAT UP!!!! pullled, alternator was bad, engine surged on any electrical device turned on, front tires chewed up from the pull, filthy interior and mats.....I was sad...

I wanted Black on Tan and they are really hard to find so I dont have premium or monitor pkg and the orange saturation on dash is killing me.

looking to buy my first maxima. I found this one at the dealership right by my house. They have a few others if you look at their inventory. this is just the one I test drove the other day. Really like how it is fully loaded.. kind of higher miles at a little over 70k.

http://www.westcountynissan.com/used...944a2f4ca2.htm

This is the other one I was looking at. But a little over what I wanted to spend. would like to be under 20k.

http://www.westcountynissan.com/cert...ec4a8ac217.htm

which one you guys think and what would be a good price for both?

Think I don't have enough post to start a new thread but I'll check.

The Cosco car seats are a good value and have held up well against the beatings from our 4 & 2yr old boy & girl. They surprisingly were not damaged in the accident so I pulled the cloth covers and thoroughly vacuumed out the glass and use them in the new car.

I currently am a 6th Gen owner and am planning on getting a 7th gen in the middle of February and trading my 04 Max in. I am not too knowledgeable of what would be excellent, fair, and bad deals/prices so I'm on here to just inquire. I would like any insight.

I am looking at this Max at a GMC Buick Dealership that is a 2010 with 32,000 miles going for 22,988 It has every option: Spoiler, Premium Package, Climate Package, Navigation/Backup Camera, Music Box, etc. excluding the 19" wheels. It's a Carfax one owner and has about 4,000 miles left on the warranty which I do plan on purchasing an extended one.

My big question is: Is this a good deal? I haven't found any other Max out there yet in the vicinity of where I am (I'm in Houston, car is in Dallas) that has a lower price with the same or lower amount of miles. How can I get them to drop it if it's not that good of a deal or if I can squeeze $500 or more out of them?? My trade in has lots of miles (165,000) and the tranny is starting to act up but hopefully it behaves on the day I go so they can give me a decent amount for the trade. I just want you guys' ideas on that because you seem to really be experts on all things Maxima.

Thanks!

Loss leader ... basically the only reason you got the car for such a good deal was because the dealer needed to move that unit off the lot.

Feel good, that list price is not too far from what used 2010 - 2011 were going for.

Hopefully the dealer didn't recoup the loss on the back end (i.e. finance, trade, add-ons, etc.).

Cool

Just bought a 2013 Maxima SV w/ limited edition & sport pkg. My 2010 altima 2.5 SL lease was up in a few months as it is and once I saw this max, I had to have it or refuse to buy another average "seen it 100 times" maxima. Out the door 36,000 flat after rebates, etc which was a little over 2k under invoice. Treated my lease turn in as a trade, they paid off my property taxes I owed on it and my remaining payments without rolling them into the maxima deal, etc. No dealing with any salesman, just the GM since I worked alongside him for 4+ years and known my sister who is also in the business for at least a decade...so I was taken care of. best car buying experience I ever had

2010 SV Winter Frost pretty basic options 25, 000 mi for $21K. No buyers remorse except for a second when I watched a YouTube review of the decked out model. Previous owner grinded some curb on all rims so had those refurbished as part of deal. Can't blame the previous driver... my only difficulty with this vehicle is it doesn't offer great viewing angles for a 2 - 3 ft radius around car. I find myself parking 1.5 feet off the curb everytime I park; suppose I'll need to get a feel for it.

Can anyone relate?
