Nice. I think I will be buying the mitt for my annual decontamination. The sponge is great but small. It was a great way to test without spending a lot. Good luck with it and it works so much easier than clay.

Friday I hit my 2011 with the foam lance from MTM one side at a time and went over the windows using the autoscrub mitt from nanoskin. Then I went over the body panels and that scraping sound made me cringe then pause but I kept going using pretty light pressure. Paint looks and feels smooth! However I missed a few spots so I'd follow up the mitt with a wash mitt and just one bucket since there would be very little contaminates left behind from the mitt.

Gotta see some pics. It's been car washes for me for awhile. Boo...Winter! What are you going to use for seal or wax?

That roughness you feel are the contaminants coming out of the paint but as you stated, the paint feels nice and smooth now which is what you were looking for. Did you notice a difference in shine after you were done? I can't wait for it to warm up so I can polish my car to perfection and seal it.

Post some pictures I am looking forward to seeing them.

Of course, but that sound almost is enough to make a person pause and want to call it off haha! I did this near sunset so I didn't really notice any difference, I'm more doing this as a test of materials + process until I find something that works.

No pictures yet.

Any time the temp is over 40 degrees, its wash time

Funny. I did get some micro marring from my nano but it polished out nicely. Just am fyi if you see a carbon fiber like finish on your paint at angles! It does work wonders though. I'm very happy with the results and yes it really does cause you pause...almost anyway!

Micro marring happens when you polishing, marring is what happen when you clay bar your car or in your case Nanoskin. IN the detail section when I posted that white Sentra, the nano skin was white by the time i was finished with that car.

Perfect!!! Done!!! I think I'm leery still because I used the sponge and it was cold when I did it. So maybe a mitt and some warm weather wil be the key. Thanks SR

Don't forget to clean your leathers, from looking at your car it looks like you have black leather.. Trust me, if you put some leather cleaner on your leather and work it in with a SOFT brush, (I will link you to interior detailing tools), and clean it with a Microfiber towel, i promise you it will be dark in color and it won't be color transfer from your leather. Your leather should never be shiny, if it is shiny it's from the oils on your body, your arm rest will show this the most and where your leg bends on the seat (Shorts in the summer).

Because I was in a rush I cleaned my leathers after my Tint install because of all that solution they spray on the windows for the tint install. Next time I will do a Half and half shot of the cleaning. My leather is Tan so it shows real easy. I just need to find my leather conditioner which should be done after cleaning…

That AMMO guy have some GREAT leather cleaning tips on his Youtube.

You know historically I've just wiped the interior with a damp cloth from drying the car. Never had issues with fading it cracking but that may have to do with trading cars every 2 years!!! I'll look ammo up for leather. Please let me know your regimen and I will gladly follow since I don't have any clue on leather.

Mild rant!!!

I followed what he did, with the solution and a brush, I don't have a Vapor system…Yet…. So my regimen was his regimen and it worked well.

I always call my cars an investment because I NEVER sell them, trade or whatever, I understand it's not worth what it was the second it leaves the dealership's lot but that doesn't matter to me. It would have to either not be not worth repairing or it was crashed which only happened to one of my cars.(Freaking deer).

Hell, we still have a 96 Camry which is very much on its last leg, but it still drives and gets me where I want to go but we also know we can't get $200 for it so why even bother. There is a point where the value of the car isn't worth the repair unless it's a project car. I found this to be true even when I did all the repairs.

The first thing to go a lot of times will be the paint on the car which is why i'm so big on detailing cars. I like to think almost EVERYONE buys a car on how the outside looks FIRST then we drive it to see how it is. The average car buyer knows nothing about motors and transmissions.

Also Irish, I've learned that forums have A LOT of Youtube experts on here. They watch Youtube videos and want to tell you that you're not doing something right. I've met A LOT of them in my time which is why I am quick to tell someone to STFU knowing that it's a VERY high chance they never even changed oil before. Easy way to detect these kind of people???????? They are typically the word ****'s, they have NOTHING else to contribute but a stupid jab about the spelling or grammar.

Mild Rant??? I hear I will check that out. I'm the opposite I suppose. I learned all of the things I can do on a car from my father and by doing it myself. Like starter, altenator, water pump, plugs, wires, stereos, etc. I don't think I have watched a YouTube video and thought "I'm an expert". Crazy to think someone would judge you on doing something when they haven't. Anyway, as always nice post ;-)

I really can't think what i have NOT done to my cars myself… Well, now I don't do oil changes because my local dealer have Sales that are way cheaper than if I were to goto the local auto store and buy everything and they are doing the work. I paid $18 total for my last oil change last week… If you are thinking the samething I am… I don't know what kind've oil they are putting into my motor to get a $18 "Special"…And the only other reason I am doing it is because of the CPO requires me to show routine maintenance on the car and that is the best way for me to keep it in the system. I already know they will pull all the stops to not cover something under my CPO warranty so i am trying to cover my bases.

But NO you're not charing me $600 to change a starter, alternator, axels ect.., I will do it myself.

Irish, Youtube for self help is the best thing that happen since the invention of blow jobs HAHAAHHAHAHA (hope my wife don't read this stuff)
