I wouldn't expect this amount of carelessness on a car that's 20 grand let alone 40 grand.

Its a shame cause I have had a '17 and now a '20 and the car is just awesome but I am thankful I am only leasing and didn't agree to pay for the entire price... I would be so beyond pissed if that were the case.
I looked up your thread. Wow, you sure have an axe to grind. Sounds like you did get a lemon, maybe you should have tried to take it back to the dealership to complain? I can honestly say my 2020 SL has absolutely none of the issues you listed, and neither have a couple of my friends, one with a 2016 and another with a 2018 produced by the same assembly line. So I for one, would not call the build quality of this car 'garbage', I would call it excellent and I think most Maxima owners would say the same.

Maxima's are expensive for sure, but you can get decent deals. Mine listed at $40,730 and I bought it for $33,450 with an APR of 3.29% for 60 months. So after 5 years it will be paid off and it will have some value (yes they depreciate quite a bit). I'm pretty good at detailing and I take pride of ownership, so my cars are well maintained. I'm old school (65 years old) and I like to keep a vehicle for at least 7-8 years so leasing is not for me.

I saw your thread. Wow. You really do have an axe to grind huh? But before you call my car 'garbage' let me say my 2020 Maxima SL has absolutely none of the issues you point out... you did make me look lol. I love this car and am beyond satisfied with my purchase. I would rate the build quality as excellent, as I think most Maxima owners do. It's obvious you got a lemon which is pretty rare for a Maxima. Owner satisfaction is high. It amazes me you haven't complained to the dealer almost a year later, but you sure are open to whining about the build quality here on this forum. Does it make you feel better to inform all Maxima owners their car is a piece of crap? Sorry about your luck and I hope you will be happier with your next vehicle. As far as me, I am completely happy spending $34,000 with 3.9% financing on a new car with a MSRP of $40,730.
