Hi Gurus,
I recently bought a silver base model maxima-S
Previously i had a rav 4 suv ;wirh this new maxima I feel a big difference with regards to visibility. Hence wud like to install the blind spot detector similar to the one that comes in higher models. My question is
1. What other options do i have?
2. Will nissan fit this as an extra accessory...has anyone with S model got it done?
3.If i get it done from outside wud it void my warranty?

 

If it was not available as an option, it would not be an easy upgrade if it is even possible at all. If you noticed the way Nissan structures their models, options are limited and features are specific to trim packages. I just recently had my interior apart while installing new speakers and an amp.


I was hoping to find wiring harnesses for "options" that I don't have, but the wiring isn't even run for them. In the past, some manufactures would have the wiring run and just not have the components in place.


The blind spot warning, Around view camera, lane correction, etc. are all tied into several separate systems that all have different part numbers depending on the trim package. Trying to upgrade these components would be more expensive than trading your current model in and paying the difference.


just a note, the feature your looking for isn't even available until the platinum model. $$$
