FSM says swirl valves are Cali models only, but that doesn't mean it's 100% true.

You sure you don't mean all Canadian cars are Cali spec?
I know at least all 2001s are Cali spec.

I thought you were the one who said FED specs didn't have the swirl valves or was that on your 4th gen?

Remove the screws on the butterflys, theres 2 screws that goes into the rod that you must take off, and it _SHOULD_ slide out, (mine didnt, I cut it into peices and got it out....)
Then you have the fill the holes on the side of the manifold so you wont have a leak there.

DAVEB has one of the last production date 2000 FED specs and he just verified he has no swirl valves in his LIM.
So, unless someone can 100% say they have a 2000 FED spec LIM with swirl valves, I'm still skeptical.
krismax...how did you know the two LIMs w/swirl valves you've had were from a FED spec vehicle?

Interesting, 00-02 Have EGR vavles and 95-01 have same rear header so that means that it prob has the long EGR tube. It is just how the the guide tube is setup that is different I suppose.

Hopefully mine'll slide out

2001s do not have EGR...actually 2001-2003 do not have EGR.

It will list all apps.

Okay...that's what I figured.
Just FYI, I find errors with those ALL the time. The Nissan FAST CD is the most reliable, but even it has revisions.
If you need to know 100% for sure, call DAVEB. He knows all.

What is this fuel fitting I've seen on a few peoples fuel rails who used the A33 LIM and fuel rail? Is the fuel rail, injectors, and harnesses not all you need for the fuel rail change?

I have to correct myself....
I don't know WHERE I was feeling or why the 2001 FSM doesn't even have an EGR section, but Friday when I was changing my oil from underneath, I clearly saw that I do indeed have an EGR tube that connects behind the throttle-body below the manifold on my 2001.
VERRRRRY sorry for the misinformation.
I give up on figuring this whole EGR/swirl valve answer out.

OK I am doing it provided I can find an upper and someone to install it in the ATL metro. The only question I have is will I be able to use my PR CAI on the 5th gen TB and still have it fit down the drilled hole? I have never seen a pic of it ... only of a short RAM/HAI.
My common sense says no because the inlet of the A33 TB is larger but I suppose it is all dependent on the rubber coupler.
To sum up my plan ... (A32 Lower, IACV, EGR) + (A33 Upper and TB) + Adaptor plate from A32 TB to A33 IACV.
Please help a brother noob out

all I gotta say is it took a freakin while to make it fit, make sure u got good clamps because you really need to tighten it down so it doesnt come off... i'll take a pic for you later.

It's not that difficult to figure out once you get into it.

Yes sir, dont do it alone tho, if you have everything planned out you could get it done in one day, if not might take you a weekend...
Mine took a weekend because of grinding down the coil pack towers, and what actually took teh longest was figureing out how to put the PCV valve, wasted a few good hours with that...
Soldiering the new injector plugs takes a while too.
