Similar ECUs?
I just sent a few PMs to Sharif, Hopefully he'll be at the Zdayz meet next weekend so I can pick his brain and then get him on our dyno. I too am gaining interest in this thing.

Not sure what Sharif can tell you that isn't already known, but I'm VERY glad to see you interested.
I think once we get a few members running this thing, we can start swapping maps/ideas around and put the other mail-order ECUs off the map.

Yep, I now have free and virtually unlimited dyno access. This will make it much easier for me to find the rest of the hidden power. Now I can work on .org members cars again and I don't have to do it on my own time, other than the limited part time schedule I work there.

I don't think they have new software for the A34, but you wouldn't want that anyway unless they're tuning your car onsite. They might have a L-Spec option for you.

I'm assuming you need a 6 cyl ECU right? That narrows it down to the VG(E), VG(DE), and RB series ECUs I believe. Can't think of any other MODERN 6cyl Nissan engines.
No need to keep it Nissan really, if any other ECU is similar there's no reason why they wouldn't work really. Might look into Subaru ECUs if you really want to go that route. They share a lot of parts w/ Nissan. The 01-04 Legacy has a 6cyl available.

Well if you've got the loot, you could have TS/JWT advance the timing 20, 30, 40-degrees throughout the curve or whatever and use a cheap blue eManage($200 or less) to pull what you can't use.

If timing/AF/revcut work with the EU that's what I'm getting and selling the 300zx ecu, I'd rather learn to tune it myself (or have a nissan tuner I know and trust) than be stuck with their one-size-fits-all ecus.
