Yes it will work. I am using it right now to switch my MEVI open. But it is more expensive than the summit and requires the pills to set the rpm instead of dip switches.

Just grab a summit switch, that's what I'd do (or what I did I should say), but yeah that will work.

MSD says they will have to modify that switch in order for it to work with our engines. The extra cost is about $50. Like Neal says, use the Summit.

Buy this one http://www.msdignition.com/rpm_14.htm.

It doesn't require any modification to work with our engines, has digital readout and best of all no pills or dip switches. I have had one for a year and used it for all sorts of things from activating nitrous to a rpm light.

Summit has them for $89.69. http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...=egnsearch.asp

ok... what else is going to work? i was kinda planning on getting an APEXI SAFC 2; does that thing have any option that would do the switching? Or should i just cash out for a greddy e-manage and solve most of the problems by it...

Why are you so adamant about not getting the switches we are suggesting? Just get the summit switch or if you don't like using little dip switches get the one Jime suggested.

When you were talking about the Summit switch I didn't realize they had their own, I though you were talking about the older MSD ones.

Looks like a good option for half the money of the 8969. I just don't like to see guys buy the older style MSD's and pay the same money as the new one when it has much more to offer.

I think we would have gotten that one if we knew it was available but the Summit switch is good.

I use the Adjustable RPM Window Switch from BakerElectronix.com. For $50 they will custom build one for you with the settings you want.

ok, ok, i'll get the switch i just do not know at this piont what to do next... right now i'm running a complete qv30deK swap on old '98 ecu. Do i want/need to tune it? i don't know. It's auto, am i going(/want/need) to swap a 5-speed? me not know. The engine knocks a little at arount 3000 rpm, too. Does it need more fuel / afr ajustment of sort? don't know...
