I'm looking at installing a DesignTech Remote Start/Transponder bypass on my '01 AE. Has anyone torn into their steering column or ignition harness to do a similar job?

Just wondering how hard this job will be compared to my old 88 Honda. That car was easy wire up. I haven't poked around the steering or under the dash yet or even looked for a hole through the firewall, the Max isn't my daily driver and its dark when I get home from work

Any input would be appreciated.

i changed my ignition switch on my 97 and it was simple. it should not be hard to add remote start. just take the plastic around the steering column and it will be on ur left. it has about 6-9 wire going to it
