I loved it after the sound competition last year. I had a few people come up and ask me what my setup was. They told everyone the basics. 2 12"s, and a 500 watt Memphis. But they never said what I had them in.

Should have seen their faces when they looked in and saw this.


I hit a 147.6, taking 3rd in the 0-500. Heck, I beat a few 600-1000 watt class.

 

yeah it's a slight.... well maybe huge overkill from what I was originally going for. Me and the guys up at Mobile FX sat down and worked on ideas for about 2 hours. We finally came up with the setup I'm getting.

Hard part was we were comparing equipment. I would like to have gone with M3 subs instead... but my 500 wouldn't run them, and I didn't have enough of my budget left to get a 1100 D. Dang alarm/remote start took up 1/3 of my budget. But I'm getting a good deal on it. Originally $575, I'm getting it for $500. There was a lot of deals in there. Box with the amp being flush mounted is only $250.

I'm going to advertise for them, plus they sponsor the club my truck is in. Double showing for them.

 

hate to bump my own thread but...i did a lil DMM testing with kevin and my voltage was at 12.3 at fullt tilt with the a/c on low. this is damn well pathetic and I'm sure i lost some spl because of this.

 

yeah, the max's alt will be pegged with 1000watt amp and test tones.

i just try to forget about the voltage entirely. once i do the big 3 i might get obsessive again

 

well I'm one step closer... I sold my old system yesterday... the wife already said she wants the new one ASAP!!!

Said it doesn't feel right driving around without bass. I haven't driven my truck yet, so I don't know. And I have to wait until the 15th to get my new one

lol, they have to build it first. Mid june it should ship. Its all good though, i gotta rip everything out the trunk and get it ready.
