lol interesting. for our alcoholic viewers think of this analogy: beer funneling! sometimes too much flow can be bad.

Contours are the components below the Pro set and above the SL. Last years model.

ALKs are the tweets I originally had when you were here (I think). They come with the ProfiVanadium set.

just to close this debate. I also work for everything I have and i'm proud of it. I do everything myself, and never send my/family/friends vehicles to a stealership. I help people out to the best of my ability. And there are two bmw's in my driveway but I will not clutter this thread with pictures. If you would like to see them click the link but I don't want to degrade this thread even further. I appologize to the original poster, but everything on internet forums turns into an arguement.

And just use 0 gauge and be done with it.

Please ban me so I never have to subject myself to this punishment ever again. Looking at my posts per day, its quite obvious I left these forums for a very good reason about 2 years ago.

Nice cars, no doubt.

Self control cuz. However, if you need to be banned to help you out. It can be arranged.

lol..

It all starts with one guys...*cough* cscm *cough* arrogance to say something stupid/offensive for no particular reason. But no offense, i did find the "I have two BMW's in my driveway, quite entertaining" lol

But nevertheless, thank you cscm for your input and website source on voltage drop. That should come in handy.

I am sure he is. As would I if it were my thread. It's been a while since some non Maxima owning tool poks around here and thinks his poop doesn't stink. Not sure what he thought was going to happen? Maybe we would all be soo impressed with his cars and method of getting them that we would all overlook the way he spoke to us. Not here bubba. I acually love BMW's. I wish I could afford one right now. Especially an M3 or M5. I still have no clue why he was bringing all of this stuff up. It has 0 baring on the subject. I have to admit. It was fun picking his argument apart. I even agreed with his statement. But he had to take it down the back alley. Ehh. In his defense, (I can't believe I am doing this), he is only 19. I too was a douchebag at 19.

Yes I tried to fit snotrockets in this post but failed.

He will if he can ever make up his mind which generation of Maxima he wants.

And maybe now people will believe me when I say using 16 ga for subs on a 600+ watt system is a killer of performance.

So i went in to the place that did my install today, and he said he should probably run a bigger power wire back...gee THANX! . But i decided to upgrade the front speakers to some 6.5 Hex's with Titanium dome tweets. I spoiled myself with some older (When they were good before rockford bought them out) 4" MB Quart qseries components. Hopefully the they will sound as bright. Right now i'm trying to figure out if i have enough money to do a 300/4 and if it'd be worth it. I should just go for it. But may have a 4-500$ clutch problem to fix..

You should take a trip over here next summer. I'm getting that MC1100D, a MC250D, and Memphis Multi-sync Components in my truck. The Highlander is getting the packaged set of infinity subs, and DVD system. (We chose the infinity setup because of how shallow it is)

HEXs are Aluminum dome, not Titanium. BTW, not nearly as bright or harsh as MBQs...

Err, i meant aluminum. Humm...maybe i should look into some older MB Quarts them. Like a used set of premium series or something. THe Q-series are still hella expensive.

New Stuff

So i had 4ga wire put it from the battery. I also got Diamond Audio 6.5" HEX's to put in fronts, with alluminum tweeter. All the Speakers are now being powered by a JL Audio 300/4. Let me tell you, its amazing!! Now i can turn it up and its as if a guitar amp is right next to you. I haven't even tuned the deck yet. Its awesome, i'm VERY happy now. Here are some pics of the setup.

Yeah, i'm very happy with them. That two channel just didn't cut it. It didn't handle 2ohms very well. The 300/4 can really pound. Plus a lot of settings to mess with. I'll probably leave it the way it is for a while, until i have some time to do what i originally posted for, was to make it all into the floor. We'll see. But right now i just love listening to it. Thanks again for all you guys' help!
