^^^What are you trying to achieve? More midbass? If so then yeah sure why not. However 8s are more of a cool factor IMO...If your not a crazy audiophile like some of the members here than just add some high quality 6.5 comps and call it a day.

There seriously is absolu***ly no reason to put 6x9's in your front doors. C'mon now stick with 6.5's. There are more than enough guys here who can recommend a set of 6.5's that will blow you away. Definetly not worth ruining door panel.

You guys need to be clear with him lol, he obviously doesn't know the details of it all. 8's would NOT be a subwoofer, just incase you go out and buy a 8" speaker, and it may be sold to you as a "woofer" but really it's a sub.
When they are saying a 8", they mean a midbass 8", and then have a midrange and a tweeter. That would make a nice front stage, as far as my understanding is. When I say front stage, that's what audiophiles call "front speakers" heh
