need some direction with install

bigger wire will not hinder it, it will actually improve pperformance although its not enough to notice (due to lower resistance of larger wires).
your power would be much better used bridging to the componenets and running rear fill off the deck (or not at all) than running the amp 5 channel.

why? why do i need to bridge to the components? I was told that bridging isn't a good idea. Wrong?
also, when i run the wires for the speakers its ok to be on the same side as the amp power wire right? just not the rca's on the same side.

you wouldnt be bridging to the tweeters but bridging to the front components. the answer is this: sound is supposed to come from in front of you (think concert). having more power to your front speakers will give you more/better sound than having lower power to all 4. rear fill is mostly for ambiance and therefore does not require much power (a lot of people dont run it at all). it goes into imaging and i could recite a bunch of stuff but honestly i don't know a whole lot about it other than its goal is to recreate the sound as if you were watching a live performance. what i do know is you want to have a good amount of clean power going to your front components.

its fairly simple. just run speaker wires from the head unit harness to the rear speakers, or you could prpbably get away with the factory wiring and just wire it up through the car harness. then run the front channel rcas to the amp. you might need to split the rcas at the amp. check out the owners manual for 3 channel operation.

well that means I got an extra rca cable now if I'm only running the sub and the front speakers. Can I run the 4 channel rca to the speakers and the subs? that's ok right? And I guess I'll try to bridge them. I didn't plan on it but I guess I can.

New question. How do I wire these x-overs in? I'm trying to figure out the wiring from the amp to the x-over to the speakers. Am I running the tweeters off the amp 1 spot and the woofers off the amp 2? Or is that going to overpower the tweeters? How do I got about this? There is a woofer input, tweeter input, tweeter out and woofer out. Where do the wires come and go?

found something that said to split the wires to the x-overs. Does that mean wires for each thing or take the power wire and literally split the strands evenly and route them to the w+ and the tw+?

Hi Guys i need help with something...
i just installed a new CD Player to my 98 Maxima and now all the light for my fual guage speed and everything is not working. Does anyone know what could i have done wrong i followed the instruction shown below
http://www.installdr.com/InstallDocs...PDF/647021.pdf
Now if you go on page 8 for wireharness (second one) i removed "H" and "L" wires but it say do not use in the instruction. could those wires have caused the light to go out in my car?
Please let me know.
Thanks in advance

the rainbows run at two ohms when you have all four drivers connected. since you only bought the to you can run them 4 ohm. The other drivers being connected to the radio instead of your amplifier will not affect your ohm load here. so the amp will see 4 ohms on each( Tweet and Mid)
as well his xovers are biampable, you can make adjustment as stated and do just the mids bridged though

yeah everything is installed. The daytons were blown but I got the rest in. I had issues with the left side of amp 1 but just put the speakers on left side of amp 2 for now. Might be a bad rca connection. Not sure.

What Avic did you go with? Im looking into the z3 and also want to do the install myself. How is the fitment of the Avic? Any gaps/pics? (I also have a 4h gen) Will also be replacing to front speakers with components (not sure what type yet) along with an amp (will mount under the passenger seat) for just for the fronts. Will do rears at a later time but will run the wire back to the trunk so when Im ready all I have to do is wire everything in. Any info will help . If you can send me a pic of the AVIC installed it would be much appreciated. Thanks.
