You happy with your Nissan Dealer?
#121
Green Nissan Springfield, illinois
Couldn't be happier with our dealership. Anytime we go in there for anything, they are very professional and helpful. I have bought 3 cars from them over the years, they make it a very easy process without the crap.

This is my second Maxima, the first was a 97 SE 5 speed that I sold and bought my current 03 SE 6 speed. I took the 97 to the dealer for a new starter while I was stationed in Germany, they were great. I'm now in KS and only use the dealership to pick up OEM parts. In the past 10 months I've had to get a new alternator from them because the 2 that my mechanic got from Advance Auto were junk. I also had to buy the headlight eyebrows to keep my hood from dancing at high speed. When I needed a new radiator and oxygen sensors I got them from a parts store. Otherwise I stay away from the dealership.

Man I have to say I had a awesome experience at my dealership. Gates Nissan of Richmond KY. Made 1st visit and then went back to pick up car. Of course during the purchasing process it was all "yes sir" which being 36 yrs old I didn't like it but oh well. Every since the sale it has literally been like going to your local hardware store and hangin out. Super cool guys and everyone treats you like family and long lost friends. I wouldn't dare to say you couldn't drop in for a cup of coffee and shoot the breeze with them if they are not busy and feel welcomed and not rushed out the door. The service after the sell has been nothing short of spectacular. Like I said best one Ive had so far.

Picking up first Maxima tonite. 2007 SE from Capital City Nissan in ATL. It was a no-trade cash sale so I hit rock bottom (or close to it) on the money. Sales guy treated me with respect. My standard rule is to NEVER go back to dealers unless the car needs warranty work.
Have been back there three times for discounted or free oil changes.
1. Their service writers are always on the upsell mode...they always want to to rotate and rebalance the wheels which I have done at Discount Tire for free.
Next, they claim to do a 127 point inpsection which is a lie since the car usually clocks in about 25 minutes from start to finish.....no where near enough time for the tech to change oil and filter and inspect 127 different items. I asked the writer to show me the 127 points and he declined.
Finally, the service writer hinted at inspecting the brake pads at 9,000 miles for wear and possible replacement. He had difficulty with the word "NO". Would only go back there for warranty work, never for work out of warranty. When free oil changes are up I'll be switching over to Mobil 1 at local independent repair shop.
