Pinstripes
strip em off when its warm out, otherwise it'll leave more of a mark unless you want to use a hairdryer and stand out in the cold. plus, use clay bar to remove all left over glue, i dont like the goof-off crap.
If they are more than 3-4 years old you may have some fading of the paint to contend with so you'll have like a ghost line where the stripe was. FWIW. Gold probably won't be that noticeable though.
Peel them off in the sun and then follow up with either bug and tar remover or 3M adhesive remover. Then wax where the stripes were.

Sounds good, now if it would get to summer faster
I did the emblems on the trunk and had some nasty residue which took about 2 hours to rub off with Goo gone, i just dont want to spend all day on 2 pinstripes.

On my old camry, I removed the pinstripes in the summer with some WD-40 and elbow grease. Pretty much took a whole day and a lot of elbow grease but it was worth it. Btw, the paint was 8 years old, dark green, and you'd never know the car ever had a pinstripe.
I have a black '02 max and was interested in removing the pinstripes. A previous poster in this thread mentioned that their could be some ghost lines on darker cars. Has anyone done this recently on an older black car and had good results?
Yessir.....and whatever you do, DO NOT use rubbing compound!!!! It will get every bit of the residue off quickly, but it will also leave nasty swirl marks all down the side of your car - I noticed this after doing both sides of my max.
