what kinda oil did u use? I just recently started doing on own oil and i switched from regular to synthetic for the first time. WOW! what a difference car seems to have a lot more power and runs smooth as a motha!

I used mobil 1 5W-30 with a FRAM TP-7317 filter.

Oh yeah i was wondering if the mobil 1 filters are any better then FRAM or BOSH? is there a comparasion anywhere?

I find that the NAPA Silver oil filters are a good replacement because they have the diaphragm that holds a small amount of oil in them so that the engine oil system gets a "head start" when starting the engine. I use this combined with Valvoline Dura-Blend 10W-40 oil.

The Mobil 1 and K&N filters are both made by Champion labs and both are almost identical inside. It doesn't matter which Fram filter you buy, they are all the worst filters on the market. Their expensive filters have the same filtering media as the cheap ones. The only difference is the outer casing which eludes you to believe your getting a superior filter. Keep reading here and you will find all the info you need.

You might be expert in Oil filters. but most Turbo cars that do 10-6 sec in 1/4 mile use the K&N oil filter. I don't have turbo in my car. When I went to English town, in June I spoke to couple of PRo racing team and they all said Use K&N oil filter even for regular driving they are really good. I don't know you might be right about the oil filters... but I kind of go with the Pro racing Team, which running a 7 sec car.
