To be honest, I didn't feel much of a difference with the Apexi exhaust over the stock exhaust in terms of power. I might get a custom 2.5" bpipe setup later on to make the flow much better.

Not a chance its worth 5hp, no more than 1 or 2, its more their to prevent preignition caused by high intake air temps and thus hot combustion chamber temps.

As you said above, you want more power under 5k. Tuning your air to fuel ratio is the best way to do this. The Vortech FMU is usually very rich in the low and mid rpms under boost. Leaning this out will increase torque as much as 10ftlb, it did for me.

But your best bet is to just change the pulley for more boost!

Swift racing technology. They located in my neck of the woods =) I seen their GS400 with a blower running at the track. I think it ran 11s.

Whoa!!
A car as heavy as the GS400 running 11's?!?!?!
Is it the Rear wheel drive that gives 'em the edge over us Maxima's?

GS4s aren't particularly heavy at 3600 lbs (about the same as an f-body)

Their edge is that they START with a 300hp V8 and just with the addition of the blower they are at nearly 400hp....

You could also think about getting a Cartech Adjustable FMU, and never having to deal with a non-adjustable FMU again.

3 pulls on the Dyno with my Cartech, and I'm tuned at 12.5:1 in the low end, and 12.1:1 in the high end. I couldn't get it perfectly the same thoughout the band because the MEVI chnges the variables after 5k RPM.

So I decided to go just a little bit rich on the low end.

But here's the good news:
I gained 13hp after tuning the FMU.

No, not the same thing. The Cartech FMU replaces your Vortech FMU you got with your SC, and goes inline with the fuel line (just like the Vortech).

Basically, the same function as the S-AFC, but mechanical, not electronic.
