Jime,
How much of a difference did the spark plugs give you (I don't know if those are OEM or upgraded)? I think it is about time to change mine and I wanted to know if it is worth the money to but very good ones and if so how much are they.
No I didn't do extensive search for spark plugs 'cause this question just came to me after looking at Jime's mods. So if anyone besides Jime can answer my question please do, but skip the "do the search..." part
P.S. great job Jime, makes me wanna do all kinds of new mods

I used the 2 steps lower to protect the engine it is not a performance enhancing step. Each step lower is supposed to lower cyl temp my 80 deg F. However, even N/A I was still running 14.6 with an auto so it didn't hurt N/A peformance at all. The only thing I did notice was that it took about 3 or 4 mins to warm up properly with the colder plugs but that is a pretty small tradeoff.

The plugs are just plain NGK copper BKR7ES gapped at .035 for nitrous and they only cost a couple of bucks a piece. Performance is at least equal or higher than plats the only downfall is that they have to be changed twice as often. Not really a problem because I change them every month or so anyway.

What kind of plugs would you recomend for maximum performance (if there is such thing)?
I only have a custom intake and y-pipe so far.

BKR5ES would be my choice, that is the standard heat range in copper.

The were going to include one in the article but I guess they ran out of room.

I have cut the bag now to allow the gauge to stick out, only I can see it and now I leave the bag on even at the races.

The little white gauge is a remote thermometer I use to monitor underhood temps at various spots to determine the effectiveness of raising the rear of the hood, manual fan control etc.

Congratulations Jime, when I was reading the last issue of Modified I thought to myself that they should do an article on a Maxima. More publications should feature our cars.
