very funny story.

I dont get it either why you started in 5th GEAR!! you should have done 2nd and just feather the thorttle, you sholdnt have let the max get beat my a school bus, that does 0-60 in 2.4 days. you should have let him walk you for a little bit, the floor it and let them see you just fly away.

just what I would have done, let those kids know the Max is to be respected.

Well, a couple of years (and many, many forums) ago it was a lot smaller...

As the BBS Turns

Just the 5th installment? Including ROADKILLED!, The Shing Haters Club of North America, The Bold and the BBS, there are at least 45 episodes. I know I'm missing at least one (The Bold and the BBS, episode 2)

That story sure brought back memories...I was hoping Booker would one day finish my story lol

I'll answer that one.

If you've read 5 episodes, then I'll assume you're somewhere into "The Manly Games". AStBBST ends with both sides (Jambytes & MaximaMafia) tied 2-2 in the best-of-five, Manly Games. Thus forcing the 5th and decisive event - The Harlem Scavenger Hunt.

The Scavenger Hunt is a long read. The event itself takes place in something like 4 or 5 installments, thus making this one event by itself as lengthy as the prior 4 events combined. Each side is broken down into teams of 2 or 3, then the adventures of each team of two takes place over the course of several installments. Reading & following The Scavenger Hunt requires a bit of diligence in order to keep all the story lines together in one's head.

In the end, after lots of beat downs, hyginx & assorted painful and/or embarssing encounters (Bill standing naked outside a gay bar), the MaximaMafia prevails in the final event, besting the Jambytes by one item. The Scavenger Hunt culminates in a final mad sprint which the Jambytes lose by a matter of seconds. In winning the event, the Mafia wins The Games, 3-2, thus securing the return of Andi.

Andi is indeed returned in "The Return of Andi", however, during his stay in Jambyte captivity, Andi was brain-washed and converted into a Jambyte. This is revealed in this episode. During the night following the finale of the Scavenger Hunt, the Jambytes secretly wired the Mafia's cars with dynamite and the following day at The Return of Andi, Andi is the trigger man as he pulls the double cross.

Follow all that?

The stories are loaded with inside jokes & references which - a person reading them years later, (that wasn't a member of the community then) - would not understand. But here's a biggie:

For a very long time, Robert/Biomax, had a picture in his signature line depicting him accepting his university degree. On the stage with him are the various university officals and former president George Bush. (Bush was a guest of honor or keynote speaker, or something). Anyway, Robert had super-imposed an arrow, pointing out the president, and this was his sig for a very long time. Several of us, mostly me, took it upon ourselves to give him a thorough ribbing about his "close association" with the president. Of course, he didn't know the man at all, he just was on a stage w/him at the same time .

I turned EricL into Biomax's antagonist over the Bush photo. And slowly, over the course of a year (maybe longer) built that little sidebar rivalry into a running war of words. All leading up to the ending of The Scavenger Hunt & therefore, The Manly Games. It was a plot twist that took literally a year in the planning. (Yes, I'm very proud of it...in the event you can't tell). But you'll have to read all the way through the Games to find out what happens.

Mike, damn you've aged. I remember you were the youngest member at one point. Thanks for bringing back that story.

Yeh, sorry about that Sarah, the wheels just sort of fell off that wagon. But, look at the bright side, my not finishing the story probably saved you a LOT of pain.

This story was great.
Since it is a schoolbus, it has a regular route, regular time. Revenge is a dish best served cold.
