Source for Small Nissan Decal?

I'm wondering if anyone knows where I might buy a small white decal or sticker that says NISSAN in the factory font (I want it to be exactly right). I am painting my brake calipers black and want a white NISSAN logo on them. The stock calipers don't have a large flat space so this would have to be no longer than 3 or 4 inches. After I apply the decal I would add a coat or two of clearcoat to seal it.

I searched eBay and came up with nothing. One idea I had was to buy a Nissan car model at a hobby store that came with Nissan decals, but it would probably be tough to find one with decals big enough.

I have gotten decals from this place before and they held up well. I think they will even custom make the decals if you call them:

why dont you paint it white all over first and then cover up the nissan letters and paint it whatever color you want the rest of the caliper, then clearcoat.

do you have an airbrush yet?

You could file down the caliper enough to have a large flat spot for the decal.

Sascu, thanks, I might try them.

Slimer, not a bad idea but I still need to find a good decal or sticker or template that says NISSAN in the Nissan font. Airbrush? Never thought about that, spray paint is fine for most things. How much does a good airbrush cost and what can you do better with one?

Broaner, yeah, and some weight-savings too.

well a set of companion air tools (4 different ones including the sprayer) is around $50.

If you already have a compressor, you're done. if not? get one.

Great idea, I've never seen that. Maybe I'll do my rotor flange like that too. Did you do that by hand or with a NISMO decal?

Slimer, its my understanding that special compressors are required for painting. I think its a type that removes all moisture from the compressed air. This also means that its a type that doesn't have a self oiling system.

How small do you need the decal? It's something I can do.

They make bowls (my name for them) that you hook to the line between the compressor and paint gun which remove the moisture from the line. I just painted two motorcycles this past summer and did not have any problems with moisture in the line. You can find them in Home Depot in the section with the rest of the air tools. Here's a pic:

$7.99 shipped for decals in many colors and two shapes. I just got mine in the mail today. They look good. Will try them out on the calipers after painting with GR2 kit.

Cool, I might order those. Do the letters come curved like that on the backing sheet? I hope not; I want my straight and the curve in the photo looks sloppy.

I have the decals now. The "NISSAN" arched style lettering measures 3 inches long and 3/4 inches in height. Each letter is only 1/2 inch high but the arch adds 1/4 inch to the overall height. There are posts on the org with these decals installed. They look good on the front calipers. They might be too big for the rear ones. Another technique is to paint the calipers white, place any size appropriate letters to spell NISSAN then paint over them in Black. Let dry, peel off the stickers to let the white NISSAN to show through then clear coat it. There are posts with pic's of this too.

Don't calipers get too hot for decals? I think you have to stick with the high temp paint if you're going to dress up you calipers.

You can buy both arched and straight from xenonmods.com and they are supposed to be able to take the heat, but I would just paint and peel them off and not have to worry about it.

I only wish they had a hamburger thing for the rear calipers. I might try and measure and see if the one from speedgraphics will work on the rear.
