Feel better now?
Ive been here forever and dont plan on leaving soon, Ive had more maximas then I can count on one hand. I miss my 02 the most cause it was so fast.... sold it to get the g35, but after a few weeks the g35 got boring and now I want to get a house so I sold it, im in the market for a 97-02 maxima with a manual trans and decent milage..
Dont want car payments anymore and for the amount of cash i have a maxima is the best car for the buck !!

Another guy posted this same comment but it would be horrible to see the number of hours spent reading through the forum.
In the process of selling the maxima after 8 glorious years together and 80K miles. What's amazing is the only money I've put into the car
1. oil and oil filter ~$600 since i've owned the car (all done by me)
2. brakes ($200) all done by me + help of org
3. tires ($800) costco style, 40K miles out of each set...
4. a new starter (5K miles ago) ~$140 from auto parts store. (installed by help of .org)
Looking back its been an amazing car to own/fix/learn on.
Anyone interested in 97 w/ 115K on it?

Hey guy thanks for saying hi!
I still have my 1996 I30 with all the goodies still in place. It is my daily ride but I'm usually with my wife so I don't drive it often. Occasionally I'll take it out to the freeway for some exercise to clean out the engine.
I only have 67,000 original miles and the car is solid as a rock with just basic maintenance to keep it running.
What would I purchase and at what price to have a better handling or faster car? I'd have to spend $75,000 or more to get a car with all of my mods!
It's still very fast and once in a while I'll play with a new Infinity coupe or Nissan 350 Z and roll right by them.
I yet have to see the new Skyline on the road and that's one car I won't play with.
Talk to you soon, Ron

I haven't been here long (obviously, I'm a noob), but I just want to say for those who have been that I appreciate the wealth of info everyone has posted here. I have only had a Maxima for about 6 years now, but its reaching the age where its needing work, and this site has been a great help. Hopefully I will gain enough knowledge through this process where I can contribute.
Ha, man I haven't been here in a long time, just stumbled across this thread!
I revived my old maxima forum from back in the day, currently set to read only mode mostly because I'm too lazy to try and make it work (whoops, technology incompatabilities).
Old post andy/pre jamie maxima forum
I can't believe I still have the full code and database dump laying around... Anyone who used to post there still around? (Not you matt, you suck)
A trip through history
Looks like it ran for a scant month and a half in late 1999, although from memory I would have sworn it was up much longer than that...
