Yeah on the topic of a car not looking that bad, I too, had a front end collision about 5 years ago. It was a 97 T_Bird, low miles, like 25,000 or something, got hit in the front right area, but they hit the wheel and pushed it in. The car looked fixable from outside, but the tranny and motor were rearranged and the shifter was about 45 degrees cockeyed. It was a total loss of course.

I know you phased out the IS300, but you should test drive one. . . its not fast stock but they drive great, very nimble and quick steering, stock brakes are excellent and lots of potential for boost if you have the cash.

That said, I test drove an EVO today and that is one FUN car, the boost is intoxicating and the car handles awesome. Too bad the interior is cheap and the car requires lots of maintinance.

Still really want the G35c though...gonna go look at some this weekend.

Sorry to hear about the misfourtune and am glad like your self no one was hurt.

In responce to your list, I agree the 240sx has been done to death and its hard to be different when on the cover of every car magazine a tuned up 240 is there, on the plus side you'll have access to parts galore.

the SC300 w/engine swap sounds the best, rarely been done. Once you find a nice one with a good body and paint, doesnt matter the milage of the engine, it will get swapped out with tranny for the 2jze.

Sorry to hear. If you have a steady income and can afford it, I suggest getting the used 6 speed G35c and finance whatever extra you need to add to get to that vehicle...sell off all mods from the max to help. Good luck.

Man it's a tough decision...still debating with myself...

Took the day off work today and got off all the parts I wanted to. Felt bad leaving some stuff, but they would've taken too long and been way too much effort. I'll be posting up a FS thread soon...

Just so everyone knows: I'm NOT buying the car back (most likely), so I WON'T be parting out anything. If that changes, I'll be sure to let everyone know. I'll be posting up a thread to sell all my AFTERMARKET and leftover OEM parts only. Thanks!

Patrick's car has $15k worth of damages easily. This is my best friend's CL which had $14k. Patrick's car is worse.

Patrick, I'm really sorry to hear this man. I hope you are ok and that you get back on your feet quickly. I know how upset Gio was when his car was totalled out, so I'm sure you're feeling a bit of that as well. I also posted in your classified thread for some parts. Hit me up on IM when you get a chance. Good luck, bro.

I guess you're stuck on japanese. If I were you, just for spits and giggles, you should go find a used 04 GTO. I know, I know, PONTIAC? But they are not GM cars at all. None like i've ever seen. You can find them slightly used (well below 10,000 miles) for the mid to low 20's. Carmax has some with 4-5K miles for $24900. At least test drive one, that's how I ended up in mine. One drive was all it took.....

geez patrick, i'm just glad your okay. Tough break on the car however a perfect opportunity to upgrade.

personally i'd so disregard the s13 and subaru 2.5RS, IMO not the type of vehicles suited for you Opt for the g35c now and I doubt there would be much to regret because you'll be enjoying it so much

You're right though...my current decision right now is between the G35 coupe, sedan, and the Soarer project. I can't give up leather, heated seats, etc...the heated seats, leather, etc...

if reliability is a factor for you, i'd opt out of the motor swap projects. Any g35c will still have at least some warranty left "just in case"

projects such as the soarer are nice when you already have another ride. Maybe pick up a little beater civic along with the soarer and still be under g35 cost?

get the older sc300, swap the 2jz and suspension, go single turbo, 500rwhp under $20G. supraforums.com and clublexus.com

once i sell my current supra, im going to pickup a ~93 ls400, swap the 2jz. how does a six speed, four door, luxury car with 600rwhp sound to you? to me it sounds bonerific. vip ******s

No space for 2 cars. Still looking at the SC300 & G35c. SC with swap would be about 1/2 cost of the G35c. Then again, can't afford the downtime while the swap is being done, and the constant upkeep of a 12yo TT car would be a PITA...

Well, went and checked out a couple SC's today. One MT & one AT. Not nearly as nice condition as I was hoping for. It feels like a boat too, even bigger than my Max for some reason. Looks like it's the G35c for sure now. Just gotta decide b/w 2 identical ones, whether I want to pay for Nav or not...

Very nice man, very nice. Don't forget us little people though...

On a side note, I'm going to get your key fob probably from another member who bought it from you. It won't work on his '01 and he saw my post...so it looks like I'll help keep you car's spirit alive...
