I was rear ended by a guy with a plow hitch and no plow on traveling at about 30 mph while I was creeping to a stop. I have a pretty good dent about the size of a football on the top of my truck and some guy once told me in a parking lot to drill a hole straight into the back of my truck and pop it out. What would I do about the hole after ?

i did that with my 3rd gen (dents from previous owner + some guy hit my passenger door/rear fender). get a Bondo dent puller, drill a hole in the middle of the dent, screw in the Bondo puller, pull out the dent, then put Bondo over the hole, sand it, prime it, paint it, and put a bit of clearcoat

when that RB26 gets running i think i'll pi55 my pants that things gonna be scary

It's only because the LS-1 is a stupid easy motor to work on. And even stock, it puts out extremely impressive numbers.

Even the import guys realize this.

I still don't get the RB26 in the Max. He'd be better off swapping in a G35x drivetrain.

I think if you swapped an RB26 into an IRoc, 95% of the trailer park wouldn't have a clue what an "RB26" was...

agreed. ls1 makes more hp (stock and mod-for-mod), is cheaper, and parts are more easily obtained.
in addition, the ls1 is shorter, allowing for more weight behind the front wheel (not by much, but still).

Well, thats possible to do you need a "Dent Puller" thats what we call it in the body shop i work at. you may need several holes to pull it out. For best results tho after thats done the holes shouldnt just be filled over. if moisture gets behind it, it will rust so best bet is to fill the holes by welding then grinding as smooth as you can and use filler to finish it off

i lol'd at the GTR Mustang too but some people are saying there really were GTR Mustangs made in the early 00's

but still

a) R32, R33, R34, or R35 GTR will kill a Mustang

b) Mustangs are infinitely ghey

The point of the LS1 is that it's cheaper to modify and maintain than the VQ engines. That and the amount of torque the V8 puts out is far more impressive than that of any V6. Even compared FI to FI, the V8 will still win. That's why you see so many 240sx "drifters" drop in LS-1's.

Anyone who follows drifting should know this.

Oh, I've had my Maxima all of a week, one of the guys I work with (whom drives a Honda), was like "Dude, you should have got a Honda, that way you could have a 5 speed..."

Response was classic (as we were leaving at the time) - chirped 2nd and 3rd gear by the time I got out of the parking lot... at the stop sign, he's like "omg it's a stick?"

I know this was an empty parking lot :, so this won't really apply, but
people frequently get banned for talking about unsafe and illegal driving and racing, especially braggarts.

Dont get me wrong, I like jeeps, (older ones) but he was trying to tell me that his jeep will last longer than my VQ, good luck.

This is also the same guy that got to eat some humble pie when he found out that my "little V6" is faster that his "mans V8, 5.7L Hemi!" priceless. It's funny, he hasn't made any more comments about my car lol
I had a 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee Larado - it wouldn't start, so I fixed the problem - I replaced with a 99 Nissan Maxima...

I've gotten this one quite a few times. That's why I went out and found a girl who's just as interested in cars as I am. She actually enjoys listening to me explain how different mods work to make a car perform better.

And best of all, she pays for herself. She doesn't mind if we go dutch when we go out to dinner. Lets me save up money for more mods.

Life lesson. I plan on having three cars when I get older: A 70 Chevelle SS, a 350z and a WRX-STI. If I ever get into a relationship with a woman who starts the, "You need to sell one of your cars," bull****, I'm going to show her the door instead.

Even if I've got a kid and need a car seat, there's no reason I can't put it in the Subbie.

funny thing is that auto is technically faster than 5spd. flooring both, automatics have the advantage of the torque converter and other stuff. otherwise stick is faster but full out flooring it automatics are faster.

this thread is HILARIOUS, i'm going to get a max for my next vehicle, but please PLEASE just know that there are some Honda tuners out there that aren't complete morons, its ricers and all the other half-wits that dont know a god dam thing about cars and assume that VTEC is like some sort of 500hp turbo boost or some crap to whatever engine is in the car

oh and i always get the same stupid *** people @ honda dealerships the few times i've ever been there in the past, which is hilarious cause i've actually been sent to a different person than the first one i was with because i corrected him so many times lol
