i'm did it have 41,940 or 4,500???

I heard Altima several times. but what do you expect when you see one everywhere you look? I had relatives recently fighting about it. No way he has a Maxima, that was an Altima.

what gets me even more so at meets, "you got an intake?"

From a friend who owns a Toyota Echo :
"Nissan ? I hate American cars.. you should have bought a japanese one.."
-"...Nissan is japanese..."
-"no way.."

I also heard "hey don't you want a REAL sport car ? My son is selling his cavalier z24...."

By a Sentra Spec-V owner : "Heated steering wheel ? impossible, that never existed"

Oh and I forgot this one :

Co-worker (btw he's an idiot) : you have a maxima ? Cool, I drive my mom's max, it's a 96. It's really fast !
me : Yeah but in in mine (it's a 2k2) there's a 3.5L engine, which gives 255hp
co-worker : well it ain't faster than the 96, because it's a 3.2L with 240 hp but the car weight much less
me : ... 4th gen maxima's had a 3.0L engine, not 3.2L, adn gives 190hp, not 240..
co-worker : well, it's written 3.2 on my engine cover, so it must be a 3.2L.. and I'm pretty sure it's faster than your's.. wanna race ?

... that guy wanted to race me with his MOM'S CAR !!!

.. I tought it wasn't worthy to race that idiot.. :stfu:

I guess it's not so stupid, but I got a comment from some kid at the drive-thru window of Burger King. I drive up to the window, and he as he takes my money..."This may sound stupid, but...you match your car well."
THANKS MAN! Kind of a compliment to me lol

I also remember when my brother first bought the car. The guy he bought it from originally had gotten it for his own kid. No, his kid says "That's a grandpa car." Ooooo....kid, you better watch out for this one. That's bad.

Haha I just tell him to go away now anytime he comes in to give me the cars' paperwork. All the guys are givin' me a hard time, and it's pissin' me off. My boss asked me if I even knew anything about my car. I didn't say yes or no. All I said was that it was my brother's before it was mine. And he said that with it having almost 200,000 miles that it must be crap (my brother beat it up a bit). I wanna sock 'em all! I really wish now that I had found a job with Nissan instead

Yeah, I work for a Ford dealership. There's a tire/lube/oil service on the lot, and I'm a cashier, so I work with all the mechanics. It's pretty sweet. Again, except for it not being Nissan

Throw your boyfriend a bone and don't think too hard through this, many members on every thread know what each other looks like, I tend to keep my relationships within 20 miles of my home in Southern Maryland so you're totally safe, and my wife of 24 yrs said I can state that also, again, welcome to the Org...

Now on the new Ford diet!!!

Some Spanish kid at Burger King with his prelude...

He asked me if my 97 max was a 2 door or a 4 door. I thought it was pretty dumb.

re

My most ridiculous didn't come from my Max, but from my Talon, which at the time had no front bumper, only a gleaming FMIC. I ended up getting pulled over by a cop for it who proceeded to ask me, "Son, is that some kind of pushbar on the front of that? What kinda **** are you ramming with this?" I then told the officer that it was an intercooler to which he cut me off, "a cooler? to cool your oil with? What do you have a V8 in there?" I then popped the hood and gave the officer a brief lesson in turbocharged systems and he ended up be a really cool guy who let me go.

I was getting fuel on time and this big guy that drives a Silverado said he liked my GT-R. OK, he's ignorant, so what. I'll let it go. Then He went on to say that I should consider saving my money instead of quote "fast and the furiousing my car" to get a Camaro or Corvette because thats a REAL car, not some Japanese playstation toy.

I was speechless. It's not even my car, and it's BONE stock.

not dumb, but kinda funny. my friend just got a 95 Maxi and I had had mine for only a month or two, mines a 96, and we were talking about them. His is kinda beat up but in decent shape and mine is in great shape with newer rims. Well, we were talking and then he was said "but yours is way newer than mine." i lol-ed and said nope, its only a 96

i dunno, it's a ford dealership and we know ford means fix or repair daily...

unless all they do is the tires and oil, then they're definitely not mechanics

Ok, techs. Whatever. Just cuz I work for Ford doesn't mean I like Ford. The only one I like is my dad's Expedition. It's awesome. Anyway, I don't plan on working there much longer anyway...

Fixed. Are you sure you still want to call yourself the Grammar police?

That's a day I'll never forget. I thought for sure the Maxima was getting towed and I was going to get a fat ticket. Thank goodness the officer didn't ask for proof of insurance or registration, because it was temporarily out of the car... Lucky break for me.

Something else that was funny:

Officer: Don't you have isolated roads in your town where you can speed and 'troubleshoot' your car?

Me: Yes I do officer

Officer: Well great. Do your speeding and troubleshooting in your town, not mine.

Me: Yes officer

Yeah, but I was quoting. So it was really the officer who misspelled. :run and hide:

my dumbest comment....your always working on \ spending money on them
..1st.white 92 max gxe(sohc a\t){feb.2001-sept.2004-118k thru 160k(traded for 93 nissan truck)}
2nd .grey 91 max se(sohc m\t){april 2004-still have-153k thru -(bad mile counter)@least 185k
3rd. white 93 nissan truck{nov.2004-still have-144k thru 150k(new gauges show 158k)
4th. gold 92 max se(dohc a\t){sept.2006 still have- 214.5k thru 230k)
mainly i did entertainment\security devices and swap out interior and trim
for better recyled parts which i only do if i get a great deal on it.....
now, "im doing car stuff" is a general term and is also a great excuse to not
do other stuff so maybe i always say that ,in my opinion these are old cars
(15-17 years old)and are user friendly(on board diagnostics for almost every system...ecu,auto trans, abs, airbag, digital climate models, factory alarm
so since my first maxima in feb-01' combined mileage driven is at least 105 thousand miles and i enjoyed
every single 105,000 miles these past 7 1\2 years and will get many many more.all of which did not cost
much(if i sold all 3 left ,105k total driving in 7.5 years would all be free basically)ive only been stranded
or broken down once(white 92 torque converter could not contain vg powah!,$200 and i learn transmission removal\re-install)have done 3 other maximas since....to sum up my maximas....
"a lil class,a lil flash,a lil fast,a lil cash"
