Well I got my car back, the front end is fixed, and it's looking sharp. The downside is that the centerpipe on my car is still bent up from being rear-ended, and it's bumping against the bottom of the car. REALLY annoying to drive it. I tried bracing the exhaust system to keep it from bumping, but it just rattles and vibrates the whole car now...I'm REALLY short on cash and need just the center pipe section, the muffler seems to be ok still. I don't care if it's stock...anyone know where I should look?

Center pipe

If you mean the b-pipe, and if not damanged, just bent, I would take it to a local no name muffler shop. Show them where its hitting, they should be able to put a slight bent so she won't hit. You may have to talk with several shops, most likely they will want to sell you a new pipe, but it sounds to me like you just need a bend adjustment.

I'm not sure if it's the B-pipe...

Its the part that attaches to the muffler and goes over the axle (that's where it's bent and hitting), and bends back to the resonator, which is also hitting the body because of the bend. The muffler doesn't want to hang on the hangers properly because of it either. Is the part I described the B-pipe?

Yes, it's part of the B-pipe. You may have to have a new piece of pipe cut and bent. Shouldn't be any big deal for a reputable muffler shop and shouldn't run you more than about $40.00.

B-pipe

BTW Dallas and I will be offering a insertable piece that will eliminate the restricitve area just behind the cat. on the 4th Gen Maxima in the future. No price set yet, but it will be more reasonable than replacing entire b-pipe and will be made so the average Joe can replace it with out going to a muffler shop. This should help flow but not increase noise. Please e-mail Dallas with questions or ideas.
