Price quote for nitrous...is this fair?

$1365 for everything. This included-

complete Zex kit
purge valve
bottle heater
A/F gauge
n2o pressure gauge
some sort of pipe that supposed to vent the nitrous to the ground if the bottle pressure gets too high. Supposedly tracks require it. Is this legit?
installation of everything

I called one other place and their quote was pretty identical. There's not much for decent performance shops or any kind for that matter in the area, so it's not like I have much to choose from. So, a)would I be getting screwed?
b)am I missing any parts?
c)any other recommended add-ons?
d)where can/should I get a new fuel pump and how much?
e)if I'm only running a 55-shot do I need new plugs, and if so, how much do the next step colder cut from non-nitrous performance? Someone else said I'd be fine on normal plugs, but they're telling me to go to colder plugs.

Thanks!

sounds kind of high, but

you already have a good amount of mods, but the only thing I would consider in addition would be the VB mod...

Fuel pump: Walbro.... made for Eclipse I think, but lot of people are using it here...

plugs, I think stock may be ok....

That's a total rip off! And I'd go with NOS instead. A single fogger wet system would do you nicely.

NOS kit # 5124, and lose the A/F guage, its useless. Get an EGT so you really know whats going on with your engine.

stay away from ZEX - get the real "NOS" - as another org member mentioned.....the wet application is more fun to play with. Also i think zex releases the NO2 at programed intervals or sumthing like that..its kinda like driving an automagic......the original one u hit the button when u know its time too

For the NOS kit it was an extra $100, and the EGT was a hell of a lot more expensive than the A/F. Believe it or not, this was the cheaper price for everything. Thanks for the install offers, but it's not like any of you are near Virginia Beach, so I'm kinda SOL there...

Well, I found all the NOS parts I wanted with an EGT instead of the A/F for about $900. So then, what would a fair price for the install of the kit, heater, purge valve, blow-down tube, EGT and pres. gauges?

But I'm in Virginia Beach...

And I was quoted $800 for the basic N.O.S. kit installed. Millennium Autosports. That didn't include all the extras you wanted, but I'm sure if you add all that up it will still not come to $1365. Who was this quote from? I hope not Performance Auto Salon... Also try Team Performance, they are close to Millennium Autosports, and engine specialists. I believe they are the only authorized Vortech dealer in the area !

In Memphis, Goterra Racing will install it and guarentee that it is installed correctly for 150-200. But they will not test it or tune it. That is up to you.
Good luck.

Actually, that was from Millenium for the Zex kit. The kit alone was $750 for the install, $850 for the NOS kit. Team Performance quoted me $1350 without the blow-down tube, also for the Zex kit. M.A. also said the EGT would be an extra $300 over the A/F! I'm going to try some others and see what it is just for the install, plus a couple places in NC when I go down this weekend. There HAS to be something better. I didn't get the warm-fuzzy I would've liked from the M.A. owner either, especially after I priced the NOS components from Summit Racing.

Have you tried the new place - Extreme Performance? I haven't even seen the place but it seems like they have some good products from their commercial. But I think they're more show, less go. Can't hurt to try though.

No, but I'll add it on my list for tomorrow. Actually, I got the recommendation for M.A. and T.P. from one of your posts, but you're right, they are pricey. If I find a good place I'll be sure to let you know since we're kind of short around here. Are you still planning on getting a CAI and y-pipe?

Yup. I'm getting my RSB installed by M.A. this weekend, I think he said $35 or $40. Is that too much?
I know they're really no good affordable places near us. As far as the business cards in my wallet go, there is:

Performance Auto Salon 431-8848
Graphic Trends 518-8479
Millenium Autosports 488-4909
Team Performance 465-6037
and this one I have NO IDEA how I got in my wallet because I have never been there before:

Performance Unlimited 587-8777

Hope this helps, please let me know if you know of any others.

Dude, the RSB install is a piece of cake, don't pay someone $40 to do it. It took me about a half hour to do mine by myself, and that's with the Addco one that barely fits the 5th Gen. Same thing with y-pipe and intake, you can do all that stuff yourself.

I'm going to Perf. Unlimited and Extreme Performance tomorrow to see what they want for the install. Should prove interesting...

So whatever happened?...

How was Extreme Performance and Performance Unlimited?
Thanks,
