I warn you that the 'colors' page is way off in my opinion. Even accounting for differences in monitors and such.
You can see my seats here:

Most of the people didnt realize durting the install you dont need to make any holles. Wharever you need to attach leather with the mettal brackets, all you have to do is punch through the leather while bending the nail. I hope it will help some of you with install.
web site is www.leatherseats.com
I also was upset with some of the things for ex. that stupid tools that they send me didnt work well. All the nail where slipping away from it. Most of the time waisted because of that. Overal quality was really good.

Agreed. I always cut or made my holes after installing the leather on the seat. If I had to, I put the old cloth over the leather to guage where things were, and felt around with my hand to verify location.Originally posted by maximaGTR

I literally must have spent over an hour just making holes. I wanted them to be absolutely perfect, in every way. It would have been nice if they were pre-cut though.

That's up to people that want to start a new one. You can do it anytime you want. The discounting is always in effect

Vito, didn't you have a lot of fun running this one? You mean you won't do it again for nothing?Originally posted by releasedtruth

But seriously, thanks for getting it started and staying on top of it; even during those many long weeks the deal was in progress! Glad I stayed in until the end.

I'm glad I stuck it out, but the savings weren't worth it in the least from my end. The wait, the hassle, etc. It's all good now though!Originally posted by soopermax02

I finished doing my entire back seat yesterday. Damn my hands are killing me.
Quick question: For those of you that bought the installation kit, what was included? I feel like I'm missing something. I only got 3 items: Hog Ring pliers, Hog rings, and the adhesive spray. Shouldn't the kit have included Tin Snips and a Headliner Stuffing Tool, or anything else?

That's all I got too. Borrowed some snips from a neighbor. Still waiting on the new panels to arrive, everything else is real nice on the wholeOriginally posted by Triple8Sol

I did go and buy my own tin snips. My hands are completely beat up, swollen and bruised just from doing the back seats. I'll have to wait a couple days until I tackle the front seats.
But what about a headliner stuffing tool? We need one to install the door panel inserts...
Also, I'm have a lot of trouble getting the headrest fabric off. I know you are supposed to push inwards, but it's not giving...

triple8sol, try to press together at one edge and the rest of it should come out easily

hey guys,
i just removed my driver side front and rear doors. there doesnt seem to be a way to remove the door inserts from behind. its just a cavity in the door, and i think the insert is glued in. what a pain
!!!! anyways, i dont think just stuffing the inserts in will look right, so im just gonna leave them off. wouldve been nice to have gotten them in there. oh well....

As I thought. I've taken my doors off several times and never saw a way to remove the panels. I may have them done somewhere. I'm happy with the seats, but Deac, I'll bet you say the same as I do, that Mist Gray is an atrocious match for our gray. It's bluish light gray rather than dark solid gray. Oh well, too freakin late now.Originally posted by kickyoazzz

I got all my seats done! Now just left with the door panels. According to the instructions I printed off of leatherseats.com, the door panels inserts do not come off. You're supposed to trim the inserts just right, spray glue ON TOP of the fabric, stick the vinyl on there, and then stuff in the edges.

am i still able to order these for the group deal price

This GD has been over for a long time. You're welcome to start a new one though. It seems like there's a couple guys who are already interested in getting in on that.

I tried doing my door inserts but felt i would do a ****ty job so it's at an upholstery shop now.... but i have to wait until thanksgiving to get them... all booked up...but then it might be earlier...

To anybody who's getting their door panels done professionally: Please let us know how much they're charging for that. I'm considering going that route as well.
Could everyone that has received their leather please send me your comments about anything you want to say regarding the sale, customer service, quality, etc.
Email me and I'll compile them so that future org deals don't go awry. I've gotten some already so thanks for those. If you want your comments listed as anonymous, that's all good too.

I know the shop owner.... my fellow club members go to him to for upholstery work so we get good deals from him. I was going to have him do the whole interior but he was very busy.Originally posted by Triple8Sol

My seats are done and I'm happy with my colors. I had Eric send me swatches so I could make sure it was right. My Max is "Sage Mist" and it's a funky green interior, so I had to make sure. (Willow turned out to be the best match for the green interior) I got the 2 tone centers with willow in the middle and black on the outsides, with the 4th Gen Maxima stitching in black (looks GREAT!! couldn't be happier) I reupholstered an old 280ZX once so I knew what I was in for. I'm going to do my own door panels, I just cut a paper template, used that to make a cardboard template, and cut the vinyl about 1/4 inch bigger than that. Remember measure twice and cut once! (I cut mine twice and it's STILL too short
) I am going to buy a can of contact adhesive (or what ever it is they included in the kit) so I can paint it on, let it get good and tacky, then lay the strip on the panel. Then start tucking with a razorblade in hand for the spots that are too big to tuck completely away. It can't be that hard. Those guys in the shops can do it, then I can. I've already made the template for the fronts and have cut the vinyl, looks like it will be a good fit, probably will need the razor tho....looks a little big in some spots. The template aint perfect but I think it will work fine. Leather seats dot com should have cut them to fit tho.....not given us those HUGE pieces, for us to cut ourselves. Kind of a cheapout if you ask me.

It was poor service from the start and I was never satisfied with the correspondance I received from them. Good quality, poor color matches, ripoff install kits, and ambivalent customer support. All in all, I love what I got, but I hate how I had to get it. Go Classic Soft Trim if you can and save the headache

i'm done with my interior...but i'm not happy with the fitment of the rear seat. Maybe...I'll redo it all over again when i have time and my hands has recovered from all that tugging and pulling.
Eric from Leatherseats.com asked me to send some pics when i'm done.....but i'm too lazy to take pics right now.
