Is this XM radio? My Pioneer 730 is XM compatiable so I don't need a display screen to search thru the channels. I just need the box and the antennae if it's like XM. Could someone shed some light on me before I call and look like an idiot?

alright kenwood guys after asking around some people told me it would work fine more people said it would work running a different brand tuner but the display wouldnt show up on your kenwood deck and the final verdict (below) from a rep at crutchfield.
I'll be happy to help with your question about purchasing a Sirius radio
tuner. If you do not use an FM modulator they are brand specific so you
will need to with a Kenwood model. You can find the Kenwood KTC-SR901
tuner at the link below:
so i guess we are out of luck on this deal. keep me posted if anyone finds a similar deal that includes kenwood components.

I haven't had any experience with satellite radio and fm modulation but i've heard people with CD changers that use it and it sounds alright to me. Let me know because i plan on running the Panasonic kit through the aux input on my pioneer deck. I read on the Cartoy's website under the SIRIUS radio installation section that this would be possible.

The only drawback to using an FM modulator is it won't sound as clean or crisp (or other such words). FM sound would be somewhat compressed due to less bandwidth being used to transmit the signal from the Sirius receiver to your deck.
Granted, for most people, even FM radio sounds just fine, so it may not bother you at all. Though, if you were able to compare an FM modulated Sirius tuner with a direct wired Sirius tuner, you'd likely hear the difference.

They make these stipulations about activation deadlines and contract lengths.
But, I dont know how they plan to keep up with it. When you activate online, they dont seem to have any record of how you got the equipment. They ask you for a new CCard number and just need the actual ESN number off your receiver.
I wouldn't worry too much about deadlines and minimum contracts...

FYI....When you order the product you give your credit card. If a unit isnt activated, they will charge the card. So if you want to pay monthly, please activate before the deadline of March 26th!

Does the system have to activated by 3/26, or just have the activation scheduled by 3/26?

Mine didn't come today so I called them. They said they had a little backorder on the Panasonic so mine wasn't shipped until Friday. They said it should be here tomorrow though.
