I don't see why some of you are getting mad. It's not like you paid money or anything. And it's not my fault. I haven't heard from the guy in a month. I just signed up for long distance on my cell phone so I could call him. So I will call him as soon as it's activated. Hopefully he'll have an explanation or something. I'm doing the best I can. I'll let you know as I know.

I'm not complaining. in fact I was actualy saying I was getting ready for your tails, since I sold my stock tail in order to get these altezzas, so I nedd to buy the oem agin if I want to get my clears no mater what.

I realize this is a pipe dream, but sometimes dreams can become reality. Who knows... If only I hadn't sold my full clear set to an org member 2 years ago just before switching to Altezzas!

 

you guys should be really thankful to hacim ...not criticize him.... he's trying... if he gets it he will be god... i f he doesn't then at least appreciate the fact that he's been trying for months now...

 

Come on people. Just buy yourself some altezzas, take off the lenses, paint them and replace the lenses on you tail lights with the painted altezza lenses.

Well I don't know what's up. I can't get a hold of this guy now for some reason. He won't respond to anything. If anything ever comes up with this I will let you all know.

 

Alright, so I called David Azzopardi and talked with him. I am not sure if this is the final price but here is what he said. It will be $68 per outer lens and $47 per inner lens. So altogether that will cost about $230 plus shipping to get the clear taillights. I’ll let you know once I have the full price. I think it might even be lower because that was with him coloring the lenses. But since he doesn’t have to do that it may be even cheaper. I’m going to be sending him the rest of my taillights so that he can get them copied. Hopefully all will go well and this will happen. It sounded promising. So like I’ve said before I’ll keep you updated as I’m updated. When the whole process is finalized I will start a new thread for the real deal. I’m hoping to get a sample from him, when I do I’ll post pics to see if you guys want to go through with this.

Wouldnt we still just need the outer lenses? thats great that he can make both inner and outer but they should match up to stock lenses pretty dang good i would hope. So i can just buy the outer lenses (o:

u didnt get the point. he cant match the inner clear part to the new outer clear part that he will make. they will not match. so if you want them to match, you will buy the inner and outer taillights and paint them yourself which is not hard to do. i wonder though he will just make the cover right? not the whole tailight right?

 

That is right. We are just getting the lens made. So you will have to pull your taillights apart and after painting the new lens you will glue it back together with the housing with some clear silicone glue.

Also the reason I am getting both inner and out lenses made is for 2 reasons, one, so that both the inner and out match (like the david L mod this will have the white line but it will be on all four lenses not just the outers, or is you decide to paint the outers it is up to you but you risk the paint coming off. 2nd everybody said they'd prefer just to have all 4 made rather than just the outers.

 

Sorry, you can take me off the list, got into my first accident a couple weeks ago so depending on finances next year, I may no longer have my baby. Lookin at either a 02-03 Max or 05 Altima SE-R.

we sould try to get this tread as long as possible, let's start discussing how are we going to heat oven our tails (agin) then lets talk about how long the thread is, then we should strat bashing on other peole, then finaly we shoulkd talk about how cool all of ours cars will look with the new red clears that are being made.
that should add at least 4 more pages to this thread.

 

I agree with ny96max's comments. Another idea is for the seller to sell the light already disassembled, so we wouldn't have to take them apart to paint. But prepainted is better.
