I ordered 9/7 and I'm gonna stay with that. By next summer I'll have a sub in the trunk, therefore a bit of extra weight. If I miscalculated and it's too stiff, I'll just order some new springs. IIRC, the springs alone are not that expensive. Heck, maybe I'll order a couple different rates and play around with them.

That's exactly what alot of the 240 guys did, if you read the thread mark posted about his last group buy. I'm thinking of doing the same.

Also, for what it's worth, Mike from Urban Imports vouched for mark on the original 240 group buy. Another important bit of info I got from that thread is that dealing with a overseas supplier can be a major PITA. Their were several delays in that big 240 D2 group buy, and I'm sure that's a possibility here also.

Mark, If you have placed the orders already, how can you get the spring rates changed?

Regardless of how busy they are or what other deals they've done in the past, or who vouched for who: Members of the .org have +/- $14,000 riding on this deal. That's pretty significant amount. Enough so that when a list is supposed to be posted one evening, and 5 days later it's nowhere to be found...

Simply put, that's unacceptable.

Sorry guys, I only check up on the forums once every 2 or 3 days since the instant email notification doesn't always work nor does it email me when I have a new pm. I am still trying to back up the hard drive with all the information on the orders. Otherwise, I will have to do it the hard way by going through all PayPal transactions again and doing a lengthy search though credit card transactions.

haha I don't know how many of these group buys are going to happen before these people finally lose faith in the sellers. there are ADV and Trix Racing group buys all over the internet where people ordered their coilovers and were promised to have them in 30-45 days. if they were lucky they got them MONTHS later...... thats if they even got them at all. I waited out the first few buys to hear some feedback on the D2s. I decided to order them when my friend got in on the buy with urban import. yes the price was a little higher than most of the buys but I had done business with urban import before (bought rota rims from them) and had nothing but posotive experiences. the UI group buy also promised to have the coilovers in 14 days. I had them at my door 15 days after the buy ended (i'm not going to complain over 1 day ). 2 weeks after I installed them on my car I was hit on the side and one of my coilovers was damaged. I called micheal at urban and he got me a replacement coilover in 3 days and my new wheel in 4. in my opinion being able to reach somebody on the phone every day during business hours and have my problems resolved right away is worth paying a little extra for... not to mention not having to wait months and months and worry about not even getting my product at all. I have a friend in the UK who bought D2 coilovers for his 240sx for around $1200 from their distributor. I looked on some austrailian sites as well and tehy were selling for about that price. even the at the higher prices d2s have been going for they are well worth the money IMO. again i have never done business with adv or trix and maybe it is just a couple of isolated events but i would certainly think twice trusting people I don’t know with that amount of $$.

Do you even own a Maxima or are you just posting here to troll or advertise Urban Imports? We have had a total of 3 group buys for these coilovers and they were all on the same forum so I don't know where your getting your information from that our company is doing group buys for these all over the internet.

assuming all you said is true and we should think twice etc. why are you posting it now? If you couldn't post it BEFORE the GD for some reasons, how's your comment helpful at this point for people who have paid?

Mark, what if we get some bad struts? How do you handle these situations? Reason I ask is because many people are having problems with these struts going bad. I'd like to know what kind of warranty we get and for how long. Thanks in advance.

All coilovers comes with a 1 year warranty and replacement is immediately if we have them in stock in North America or 7-30 days if we have to go through D2 to get the parts.

yes, i do own a maxima and yes i do ocassionaly troll the board i have just never had anything to post. looking back i see it is mainly people buying coilovers from trix racing who were the ones getting screwed it was just a few people that got left behind from adv buys like stated above. best of luck with the gb, this is an awesome product at an unbeleviable price.
