Mark,
There are some many good point's being raised. Could you please address them. Is it also possible for you to take a deposite on these coilover's rather than requesting we pay for 100% up front for a product we are getting 3 months from now. The deposite can be non-refundable, however if you do not deliver the goods, then we get our money back. We really need some assurance here, because the 3 months thing is a little shakey.

yea i agree. i want to know what is going on and what this "list" is. 3+ months is a long time and from what it looks like, it might get delayed to 5 months or even more like the 240 guys.

mark we need some explanation for whats going on.

i think the list everyone was refering to was jus a final count of who paid and who is part of this.

Mark, we really need to know what is going on. when this started you said it would take 6-8 weeks. then you tell us the end of februrary, i can wait that long but i dont want to. now we see this 240 forum where they have been waiting, i think someone said 9 months? what is going on? when can we see the list, and when exactly can we expect the coilovers to arrive in the US?

Guys,

what the hell is this a link to. This forum has no info that I could see. If someone could help me with this I'll call Mark. If there are truly people that have been waiting 9 months we have some problems.

It is a link to a thread on a 240sx forum. You have to register first before you see the thread.

Mark I just called you. Waiting to see what you post. In light of what I read on the other forum I can't see going forward with this. In any case for all that choose to stay with this deal Mark should be providing additional assurances in the form of identification. Full name, address, hardlline telephone #, location of storefront....etc.

Waiting... for a very short time.

The 240SX guys have not been waiting 9 months. The group buy was back in the summer. 9 months ago we hosted our first two group buys for these and sold over 100 sets and all customers from those group buys have received there coilovers except for 1 or 2 customers who's coilovers will be departing shortly. The delays were merely due to miscommunication problems with the manufacture in Taiwan. (Items ordered not coming in, items ordered not being shipped, and us having no way of knowing that until the customer contacts us, manufacturing delays, etc). We were also obviously at fault for part of the delay because of having to move 3 times in the summer and all was very hectic. There are about 10 group buy users in the 240sx group buy that haven't received there coilovers. If we were trusted with over $70,000 by the first customers, we can be trusted with $7,000 by the 10 members waiting. Only 1 or 2 members are being inpatient about the order and that is understandable and I myself am working hard every day to make D2 get these orders out.

We hosted this group buy because a Maxima member contacted us by email regarding the demand and we knew something like this would be easy to handle. Members might even start receiving their coilovers by the end of the month if all goes good with a new shipping alternative we are looking into, definitely no guarantees though.

All orders were paid for by credit card, either by PayPal or over the phone. Credit card companies give their clients between 6 months to 1 year to dispute any charge for a product they did not receive or receive as advertised. Everyone here is protected by this and if you see us not keeping our promises of delivery by late January, then you have the option to call your credit card company for a full refund.

With this said there is nothing to worry about. If you have any concerns you can email us, post, or give me a call at (416) 835-8490. I have had this phone number for 3 years.

Mark,

Can you please provide us with a post from another forum where people did receive their coilovers? I did my transaction through Paypal so I dont have the assurance that the people with the credit card have. Maybe that would make some of us feel a little better.

Thanks,
Mike

Third one http://www.nicoclub.com/zerothread?id=58712 - As you can see it was done in the summer. Not 9 months ago.

I am trying to find the second one. There should have been at least 40 buyers in it. Maybe Nico deleted it. Still searching

-

Yes it appears the 2nd group buy must have been deleted. I will have to contact the forum owner to see if it is still on their system.

Please note that 240sx.us is owned by our company and is specifically being used to deal with the group buy 3 members who haven't yet received their order.

Please also note that anyone who sent me an email today or over the weekend will not receive a reply until Monday. You may call me or pm me if needed but I do not have access to the @advautoparts email over the weekend. You can also email me at sales@advtekk.com.

I promise to post the full list for this group buy over the weekend.

Thank you

I posted the link to the 240sx forums site. I ordered two sets of coilovers from Mark, one for my Z32 and one for my S14. I express shipped the Z32 set and had them about a week after payment for the shipping. I decided to wait on ground shipping for the S14 set. I am a bit concerned, but I still have faith in Mark because I received my other set.

I wanted you guys to be aware of the situation we are having with Mark, but hopefully we will be getting ours soon. Even though this groupbuy took a lot longer than what was expected, I would still do business with Mark. I'm looking forward to receiving my S14 set very soon (hopefully)(fingers-crossed)......

If you have faith in me then I don't understand why you posted in this smoothly running group buy in the first place. All it causes is headaches for me and the 20+ paid buyers of this group buy. I hope my above posts are enough to confirm that we are not out to screw people over and the coilovers delivery date will be by the end of January. Have a good weekend everyone

My Z32 D2's are very well constructed. I'm waiting on some upper a-arms and then they should be on the car. You will not be disappointed by the construction and quality of these.

If you have a fairly heavy (60lb+) system in the trunk, stick with the previously mentioned spring combinations.

However, for those with no large system and/or who seek higher performance, you may want to reconsider the spring rate combinations. Here's why:
Base spring rates are 7k/5k. If you go up to 8k/6k, front rate increases by 15%, but rear increases 20%. If you go with 9k/7k, front rate increases by 29%, but rear increases 40%. Then if you decide to go with 10k/8k, front increases by 43% and rear by 60%!

Increasing spring rates keeps the car from bottoming out, and leaning as much in turns. But if you use the above mentioned increments, every step up increases the chances of oversteer.
For balanced improvement front and rear, go with 7/5 base, or:
8/5= +15%F, +0%R
9/6= +29%F, +20%R
10/7= +43%F, +40%R
11/8= +57%F, +60%R
12/9= +71%F, +80%R

These rates will retain much better chassis balance, as can be seen from the much closer % increases in spring rates. Fine tuning is done via the rear sway bar to achieve the under/oversteer amount desired.

thanks for the info, are those settings even available for the D2's ??

Mark, I ordered a set of D2 coilovers from you for $750 shipped on November 6th, which was seperate from this group buy. You told me that it will take 1-2 weeks total time from payment to actually receiving the coilovers. Then you told me that there was a delay and they will be shipping the coilovers out the 3rd week of November. The coilovers still aren't here yet. Can you tell me how long it is going to take? I sent you about 5 emails in the last 2 weeks and I am still waiting for your response...

whazzzzuup, Please email me at sales@advtekk.com The @advautoparts.com one isn't working and hardly ever is. We have problems with the host for that account and are probably switching soon since this always seems to happen. I will call them tomorrow to retreive any emails you or anyone else sent to that email address within the past couple weeks.

Regarding the list, I will need another day or two as things have been too busy here and I need to gather things from 3 different computers. If you want to confirm you order in the mean time, please send an email to sales@advtekk.com
