So the Sc is the same diameter as stock, just lighter? I'd be interested in that depending on price.

how much more power would be gained from going from sc to an underdrive set? i'm interested in pulleys but don't want to change my voltage, but also want noticable power gains. i'm also assuming the sc's wouldn't require any new belts? the stock ones would work fine?

that's why i'm waiting for steve to reply!

1. does regular S UDP provide more gains than the stock size SC?

2. Does SC use the same belts?

1. Yes, the S pulley "frees" more HP because the engine is doing less work
driving your alternator and your AC compressor. But, if you have a crazy
sound system, it might not be wise to get the S pulley.

2. I would think so since it's stock sized.

i thought all we're doing is replacing the crank pulley.......how would it benefit the alternator and AC, do they all share the same belt? yea it's noob but it's hard to see in there. And what constitutes as a "crazy" sound system. My two amps draw 200A of current at full tilt. I get very little dimming and I haven't even done the big 3 yet. I want the most gains i can get for my money without killing the voltage. the fact that the SC costs more than the S makes me just want to go the S route even though I'll need a new belt (just one right?)

anyone happen to know the actual weights of the S pulley and SC?

this is a noob question but why doesnt UR only make the crank pulley. Why dont they make the other pulleys that we have on the car. Wouldnt that benifit our cars more... i am not even sure whta the other 2 pulleys are called but if UR would replicate them te exact same size just alot lighter i think we could see a few more horsepower and alot quicker revs......

I'll bet installing them wont be nearly as Easy (understatement anyway, from the Write-up i've seen)... But ya, i agree, why don't they just sell all the damn parts in our cars in lightweight aluminum, except stuff that needs to be real strong.

the crank pulley is really the only pulley big enough (mass) to pull hp from the motor. the other pulleys are already small and light enough that no gains would be noticeable enough to justify the crazy price they would have to be sold for. the best way to free up lost power is to use a lightened flywheel. this and the underdrive pulley let the motor rev up so much more quickly, it's hard to believe. i would love to get a deal on a udp. i'm not so sure why everyone is so scared of underdrive. if your alt is holding amps, there's no reason why underdrive couldn't help out everyone's hp numbers. like was stated earlier, if you have a powerful stereo, or run your espresso stand out of your cigarette lighter, underdrive may not be for you. yes you will need to get some new belts, but you will be amazed at the quick revs and light throttle.
