The new car is looking good Z, but I still can't believe your max is gone.... freakin loved that car.

On another note, why does it look like Rochester is lurking around a school playground? Lol

BTW, Zero... speaking of which, I finally lowered my car last week on those Swift Springs that I was hoping would be installed for the meet-up. Check it out. Not even remotely as low as your buddy here, but it works for me. Looks rather practical, IMO.

Update:

Couldn't resist this deal. Guy is parting out a modified E92...my friend trades for his KW suspension, intercooler, and downpipes...While that goes on, I trade this:

Broked it.

Thank you. I wish I could've kept the Max, but it was just having too many issues at that point. She served me well for 7 1/2 years and I kept a few pieces to remember her by.

Rochester is a shady character. Once you meet him in person, it all makes sense...

How is the m-sport front bumper different? I'm not seeing it.

Harder to see on a black car, but here is the base 335 bumper:

and M-sport:

The ducts for the brakes and oil cooler are also larger on the M-Sport as well.

Ah. Larger lower grille.

You know, I like the base bumper better. But I get what you're doing... always greener grass.

You guys still coming to Rochester in a week or so?

I'm surprised you said that honestly. Similar to the differences between Samuel1021's G35S bumper, and your G37S bumper. I think you like crushing my dreams.

We are hoping to make it out there, but working on logistics whether to stop on the way to or from. I'll reach out to you via PM to discuss.

Not IMO. It's more like the very subtle difference between the sport vs. non-sport bumper, in both the G35 vs G35S, and the G37 vs G37S.

I'll agree to disagree. Regardless, the better airflow and more aggressive front are worth it to me. Hopefully in a few months, it will house a nice 7" core front mount intercooler.

For the 2010+, the Sport Bumper. Hands down.

For the 2007-2009, it doesn't matter. They're virtually identical, IMO.

After 2.5 years, I can honestly say I no longer miss the Maxima.

Zero, last week I test drove a 2014 Jaguar F-Type S Coupe, completely on whim. I just wanted to see the car, and they pretty much forced the keys on me. Anyway, 380 hp of supercharged, upscale awesome. Came away feeling like my car is cheap and slow.

I have always been in love with the F-Type, even as a concept. Hoping to get some wheel time behind one soon. I did their "Alive Driving Experience" auto-X/drag race event a while back, but it was pre F-Type.

Wheel Cleaner... WTF, man?

Those BMW rims have a very simple design. Just claybar and wax a few times a year, and you won't ever have to waste money on fancy purple magic. They'll look a whole lot cleaner, too.

Lazy...

You said lazy, but I heard efficient.

Next, you're gonna tell me I should use Dawn instead of that new fancy Chemical Guys car wash.

It just fits in to the prep easily... spray on each wheel and lightly agitate before initial rinse. 90% of the grime is pulled off, and helps immensely with the barrel. I still go over them with a microfiber during the wash.

No, I approve of using the right products for the right job. Just think that "wheel cleaner" is silly if you keep the wheels properly waxed.

I am in love with the Sonax product line. Just got their Leather Foam and Polymer Net Shield in today. I need to order more wheel cleaner.

This weekend I was introduced to Leatherique. For the last couple of years, I've been using LEXOL products, and thought I was taking proper care of my leather interior. OMG, I was so wrong. So very, very wrong. We treated a section of my driver's seat with conditioner overnight, then used the cleaner on it the next day, and I was floored.

Just ordered a kit. Can't wait for it to show up.

I don't really have a full review, per se. But did work on the car this weekend with the Leatherique.

Step 1 - cleaned the leather with Lexol Cleaner.

Step 2 - Applied Leatherique Revitalizer to all leather surfaces. Poured some of the product into a bowl, and lifted it into the leather with a small sponge. While wearing surgical gloves, I massaged it into the leather according to instructions.

Step 3 - Left the car in the hot sun all day long, with the windows up. In the evening, I moved it into the garage by putting garbage bags over the drivers seat so I could drive it in.

Step 4 - (next day) Used Leatherique Prestine Cleaner with a microfiber towel.

Step 5 - Applied a light coat of Lexol Conditioner.

I swear, it didn't just clean my seats, it restored them to original condition. All the little spider-cracks in the seat- and side-bolsters are gone. The infamous drivers seat bump is gone. And the leather surface is creamy soft to the eye and to the touch. Can't begin to tell you how happy I am with it.

Rochester's still about on this forum? How've you been? I used to use Lexol in the maxima, but now with the BMW I've shifted gears. A local guy to me specializes in detailing products, he's put me on to leather masters. Their products have done some wonders in my friends G35.

Hey Zero, ever hear of LatheWerks?

Just installed a custom, hand-made, tear-drop shaped shift-****, in solid Titanium, with matching titanium boot ring. Loving this thing! It perfectly matches the decor, and feels simply fantastic when driving.

Rochester, the new shift **** looks perfect. However, that e-brake is begging for a leather boot to match the shifter. RedlineGoods maybe?

Recent detail. Washed, waxed with Chemical Guys 3x Carnauba, then sealed with Sonax Polymer Netshield. The beading is ridiculous. Rained today, and the water is flying off the car even at low speeds.

Agreed, on the parking brake handle. Unfortunately, there aren't any options here that I know of. There's no room for a leather boot. But you know, now that I can easily remove the shifter boot, maybe something more supple than the OEM leather would be nice.

Your car looks great, man. Kind of wish you'd brought it to the Spring meet-up.
