Eclipse AVN5423

I have this headunit but the antenna goes up when the CD is on. I want the antenna to go down when the CD is on, and only go up when the AM/FM radio is on.

The blue/white wire coming out of your HU is hooked into your power antenna wire.

Blue/white should be your amp turn on ONLY. and solid blue should go to the power antenna wire.

Will this cause the antenna to go down when the CD is on?

Because it's not wired correctly.

edit: nvm saw that Don did the wiring.

..but it is the only thing that makes sense.

Also, what the hell is with bumping a 1+ year old thread?

Because my problem still isn't fixed. The "DON" supposedly states it's wired correctly yet the damn antenna still stays up with the CD playing.

Don I did call you about back when I posted this, you stated "the car is wired correctly and if the antenna does not go down there's nothing that can be done."

I'm trying to figure out if the antenna should go down or not if a CD is being played. If it's wired correctly and the antenna still remains up then perhaps there is nothing that can be done. I still want to know if other people that have similar headunit setups found out a way to make the antenna go down while playing any source other than FM/AM.

harrish, some radios/even eclipse doesnt have a power antenna input. So the antenna will stay up all the time, however my eclipse does have the power antenna input.

take your dash apart Harrish. if there is no straight blue wire coming from the Eclipse, and the blue wire from the car's harness is going right to the blue/white wire, then its hooked up correctly. theres nothing more that really can be done.

Its that, or never have your antenna come out at all..

*shrug* It wouldn't bother me....actually it doesn't, I don't even have an antenna to worry about.
