Which HKS SSQV Flange? 50mm or 65mm?
#2
I got the 50mm flange and it didnt fit. I think they are made for 2" piping. the 60mm flange wouldve fit the curve of the 2.5" IC piping better. I ended up having to grind down the flange to make it fit better since I got the wrong one.

Shiet.... the larger flange still aint going to work on 3.25" piping, i say get the 65mm and get him to grind the edges and it will fit. Thats what the welder did on my 50mm for the 2.5" piping even though it was supposed to be for 2" or smaller piping.

flange size is the opening.. obviously the bigger boost levels you have, the bigger the hole you need to vent faster..
hence 50mm is for smaller boost applications.. it just so happens that the curvature of the piping causes trouble..
if all it takes is some grinding, then thats fine.. i'll just lop off the part where the SSQV bolts onto and weld a new connector piece to the bottom of it...
