Its almost like asking if one could get an SC for free.

Yeah, you can...
http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...sPageName=WDVW

Best bet is to save up your cash and scan the for sale forum or ebay.

thanks for offer... I need a sc first though. If you didn't check the link, the sc he posted was a boat bilge pump motor photoshopped onto an intake.

Realistically, you need this kit from Stillen. Save up your coin 'cause I really doubt you'll ever find a blower kit at under $1,500.
http://www.stillen.com/Sportscars_de...id=3154&page=1

Stillen is the ONLY company that has a bolt-on-kit for the Maxima. Adapting a blower from another vehicle or anything else is custom work and thus your own hands-on project.

would custom work require any equipment besides a welder and a pipe bender? My dad is an ex-welder and an ex-mechanic. Is is feasibly possible to adapt another sc to a maxima or is it a pipe dream?

what all would you need for an sc? I know for a turbo you gotta get the intercooler and boost controller and all this stuff. Im not as firmiliar with superchargers, becuase frankly im suprised they make one for a car as small as ours.

If you dont really know what you will need to have a sc I wouldnt recomend trying to fabricate your own kit. The mounting bracket has to be just right. When I say just right any body here that knows about the sc will tell you its a very touching subject when it comes to belt alignment. If you want a nice reliable set up than just stack your chips and go with the stillen kit. Yes it is almost $4k but it will last you. If you do decide to make your own setup be sure and keep us posted because it has never been perfected and basically never done(except maybe once but no one is sure to my knowledge).

funny how stillen has msrp written in there like that makes any sense.

Small? LOL!

There's alot more to it than just picking up pieces here and there. You have to consider how you're going to mount it, followed by how the fuel will be managed.

Thats the second time i have seen that electric blower crap..

And this might be a stupid question, but what is stoping it from actually working? i mean cars with hydrolics run offa car bateries...

I know they usually have to have like 12 batteries in the trunk to run the hydro system.. But, you need less than half that power to push a pump at like 8 PSI constantly like a blower and bov.

Any thoughts? (sorry if i highjacked the thread)

battery demands would be insane for any respectible amount of boost. You're forgetting that a turbo/super must not only compress air, but vast quantities of it. I've heard of an electric SC that gives about 2 psi but I forget where that link is. I've also heard of a guy that dared to dyno his car with one, and lost 5 hp.
