His auto I would not recommend anything more then 9psi. However, if he upgrade vb and torque convertor that's another story.

Do you have a dyno plot? Is the boost holding to redline or falling off?

Given the low RPM that peak HP arrives at, It appears that the compressor is falling off the right side of its efficency island at high RPMs and/or the turbine is choking the engine. What size turbine did you get?

I bet the boost is pretty much instant though.

Good luck at the track.

I am not saying run 10~12 all the time, but at the dyno or a run down the track and you'll be fine.

I'll be going to cecil friday or atco next tuesday, when I get a nice new front mount.

A t28 on my car @10psi will make 300whp and with cams 350! Gotta love the sr20 motor.

A t28 might be in my future depending on how well my motor holds up. Although if it does blow up I will definitely get a t28 on my next motor.

3000.00 for 50hp not good imo headers and a em along with your other mods would have got you close to those #'s

the reason he can not run more boost cause the turbo is TOO small it does not put out enough cfm's for a 3.0 at 7-8psi let alone 10-12, thats why he made peak hp at only 5100rpms

I think the tranny would be fine with higher boost depending on his driving style

a tranny temp gauge till the it's beefed up is a life saver though, with it you'll know when it's time to back out and let the tranny cool down

yeah but thats at the wheel - 3 inch exhaust and bigger intercooler piping will increase cfm's, thats an easy one tom

doc who cares about the #'s to a point if this is your dd. you need a car with no down time and 0 turbo lag cause most of your kills will come 1 light at a time.

now if you plan to track the car alot then everything changes with that said whats up with the track thursday or friday, cause I am guessing you did not go tonight

doc is happy with what he has, let him be. Its his car and its him that has to drive it. If he's happy, then who the f are we to tell him the kit is bad? for HIS style of driving/ preference, he likes it. So let em be. Doc, as long as you're happy with it, thats all that matters.

PERSONALLY, I dont like it. I make more whp than that on my naturally aspirated, 3.0 ECU'd 3.5 swap. 8psi from a properly sized turbo on the 3.0 with auto should have you in the high 200s, but I think you realize that. As you replied to someone saying to get a bigger turbo with "already being saved for", so thats a great thing.

Definitely happy that you fixed the problems you had after the initial dyno. Cant wait to see what the sucker will do once you put the bigger turbo.

WHERE'S THE DYNO GRAPH!!!! #= useless without a graph!

Hey Doc, great job! I like the simplicity of it; everything's not about ***** to the walls hp output. Being safe on a daily driver while being fun is a balance few look for.

I noticed that the flange is specific to the turbo. What turbo are you looking to upgrade to that has the same flange?

a 3071r w/ a t-25 flange, that way I can lower the boost and make the same power. you could technically adapt it to a t3/t4 flange, However it requires it getting fabricated.

PFI speed kit-hard to find. or piece one together (Custom fab down pipes and header.)

Honestly I dont know of any other kit. I bought this kit because of how COMPLETE IT WAS. The turbo can be changed out which is nice,... just use one with a t-25 flange.
