Vids of mastercater's S/C VQ35
So with the new power the car has become very difficult to drive in the rain. I can barely get up hills in 4th gear doing 30-35. I know, 3rd is where I would normally be at but it just spins and spins. It still spins in 4th under barely any power. Stopping and starting on a hill? Huge problem. If someone is behind me, they are going to be sitting still for a bit while I try to get going without the tires spinning
. I think it's time for a new daily driver

30-35? Jus thow much power do you think your making at that speed to cause the tires to spin so much?
Yeah, but he is NOT a moron. The tires aren't to bad Flava, but my alignment is off. The alignment and pulley swap will most likely happen same day.

Well I wasnt stating that they were bad per say, but mainly that maybe they arent rated well for wet weather. What are they?
Well, the 3.5 liter finally had all it could take. I am going to have to take it apart to find out the exact problem but I am sure it is one or more rod bearings and or the rods themselves. If I did spin a rod bearing or crack a rod I will just build it up and possibly run nitrous instead of the methanol injection.

Basically, I am getting this super loud knocking noise. It gets louder as the motor revs up higher. My air fuel started to go a little lean and I got distracted and missed third after driving the car pretty hard all night and the car was just much slower (I kept going because I couldnt hear the noise at first) before I let off. The car later died on me while I was idleing and I had to get a jump because the battery was dead. Right as I pulled into my neighborhood my battery light starting flickering on. I parked it and tried to start it this morning and it turned right on. Anyways, here are the links to the parts for the engine build:

Rod Bearings
Valves And Camshafts
I am curious, I do not know much about aftermarket rod bearings for the VQ35DE's. Can someone tell me if one of those two brands, or another brand, is the best? I must say I have never done this kind of engine work before. Also, I haven't decided yet if I am going to buy the stainless steel valves, springs, and retainers; would these be worth the time and money? As far as the camshafts go, the only camshafts I can find are atleast $1100. It sucks that Debuloz cams aren't available anymore. I was thinking if I bought the valves, springs, and retainers from Brian Crower I may as well buy their brand camshafts since they are all made by the same company, but maybe I am completely wrong. The last question is about the pistons. If I went with the 96mm pistons would it be worth it? I am guessing that would require some boring to fit them. Will I need to get the block honed as well, whether I use the 95.5mm or the 96mm pistons? I am sorry for all theses questions, I am new to major internal work. I am going to try and do a FULL write up for building the VQ35 with the parts I plan on using. Any opinions or answers would be greatly appreciated.

Oh yeah, I will most likely install a new dynotune nitrous kit once the motor is broken in
. Hopefully that will help me reach my 500whp goal for this car.

Watch it Zack, you've been called a moron too and usually by better people.
The plasma thing was a joke I started, not something that really happened or is going to happen.

Great deals out there on everything right now, especially with the economy the way it is. Have patience, and you'll save $$$$.
I don't want to spend alot on cams, but I want that savage lope at idle
. Maybe the Brian Crower Stage 3 cams with springs and retainers would be a good choice?

I think I have pretty much decided on parts and I have found some good deals. I just can't decide if I should go ahead and buy the Brian Crower stainless steel valves or if I should just use the stock valves. I am going to get the valve springs/retainer set and most likely the stage 2 Brian Crower camshafts. Kzoosho, any news on my350z.com? I could really use their site right about now lol.

Well, I have decided to go a different path with the car. I decided that the supercharger will not yeild enough power to keep me happy. I have a buddy who is going to help me put together the piping for a turbo kit. I will start a new build thread for the engine and turbo build. Thanks to everyone for the help and feedback! I will start the new thread soon.
