Tire pressure (96 GLE)

The sticker that indicates the appropriate tire pressure level on the driver's side door pillar is smuged horribly. What does it say? Thx

Regardless of what the door panel sticker says, each tire has a PSI rating right on the sidewall. They may not be the original tires, therefore you will have to look on the tire.

I'll have to check in the morning. I have Flankens 205 60 ZE R15s on stock honeycomb GLE rims like MaximaEvolution's. I'll still ultimately check what the tire says tomorrow. BTW how wide are the Honeycomb GLE rims?

for my 98 with 15" wheels...they recommend 32psi front and 29psi rear.

If the tire says 44PSI cold, then put in 44PSI cold.

No, no, NO! You always follow the door sticker on the car (or look in the owner's manual) for tire inflation pressures as long as the tires are in the original (or close) size.

People are always saying things like "Nissan didn't make the tires, so they shouldn't dictate the pressure!!!!", but that is not how it works. The pressure on the tire sidewall is the MAXIMUM pressure that the tire is rated for, not what you should put in it. I am still amazed that even in this day and age people still think that you look on the tire to find the correct pressure....
