Can I plus size tire to 225/60/15 on 97 Maxima

I am currently running 215/60/15 tires on my 97 Maxima and was thinking of going 225/60/15 (slightly wider tire). Will there be any issues with this setup?

You're already running up a size from stock correct? Stock being 205/65/15.

Might try posting in Wheel/Tire forum though.

You can run that setup. It will be fine, I have to double check, but those numbers sound like the tires I have on.

OEM Size -215/60-15 215/55-16 depending year/trim

recomended plus sizes
235/45-17
235/40-18
245/35-19

the biggest thing to consider is overall diamter of tire so u want to make the proper adj. ments in aspect ratio according to width

so if u want to run a 225 tire on 15s i would 225/50/15s
now i run 225/50/16s for auto-x but thats totaly diff story...i am bumping up 235/45/16 for auto-x days....regualr driving i use 235/45/17

stock is 205/65/15.
225/60/15 has the closest overall diameter if you just want to increase tire width.

If i go with 225/55/15 on stock rims and stock suspension would it look too retarded?(too small of a wheel/tire on a sedan, more like too skinny) because i am considering some tires that only comes with 225/55/15 being closest to stock sizes BTW it is a 96 SE with sawblades
I am also considering 225/50/15

I ran 225/60/15 on my sawblades no problems. They are a little fat for the wheel, but I had no issues with the setup.
