1992 Maxima SE auto(wish it was a 5 speed) from Bellingham Washington! I was waiting around for so long for a 5speed to pop up, but I snagged this 92 se for 1400 and all it needed was one front injector.

My names Nick from Pennsylvania. I own a 1991 Maxima that I bought off a dude on craigslist for $350 and drove it home with no turn signals. 130k on odo.

Car needed balljoints, tie rods, axels, engine and tranny mounts, Shocks and springs, Sparkplugs and wires, transmission flush and filter change, Tires, Exaust, Fuel injectors and injector wires, fuel pump, Radiator flush, inspection, Various interior and exterior damaged parts. Speedometer works sometimes.

I replaced most of what it needs to run and drive no problem. Im about $1000 into the car and im pretty satisfied with it as a point a to b car. I tryed to help the cars looks but I dont think thats happening since the car is one big dent.

I installed a 2 12" sub sound system with 1200 watt amp, Adjustiable Spoiler, GT Racing rims on street performance tires and Halogen fog lamps, custom gages and Volt gage mounting. Blacked the car out including paint, turnsignal sidemarker and taillight tinting, and various interior paint customizations (Black and White).

*check profile for pics.

Just came into a 91 GXE automatic 4 speed. Pearl paint and brown leather interior. 200K+ miles but no idea of the real mileage as the instrument cluster got replaced when the speedo died. I really can't believe what great shape it's in for it's age and miles! Runs great and hauls ***!

Aside from some minor mostly interior things like a broken spot light switch, and stuck power antenna the thing looks and drives like it's 5 years old and not nearly 20.

A little valve chatter when the engines cold and the suspension is getting a little hard but man I love this car!

Hi, small town south of Chicago maxima owner here... my boyfriend needed a car for work, so I got my 91 SE from a family member for like 20 bucks, lol. I used to ride to high school in it with my cousin, and I think it was in fairly good shape then, but when I got it, both the back window regulators were busted (windows held up by stylish duct tape), brakes were nearly non-existent (scary..), and it was running on two good injectors... but most of that is fixed now ^0^

I love this forum, everyone is so helpful. I'm 19 years old and only got my driver's license in May of this year, so before this I knew absolutely nothing about cars... but I want to learn everything there is to know about my car ^W^ Thanks to the really helpful topics on this forum, I even fixed the shifter bushing myself *_* which is good because I'm the only one small enough to comfortably fit under the car, haha.

looking forward to being a bigger part of the community here!

Mt. Vernon, IL. 93 GXE. I've had the car for almost 4 years but just started fixing it up, right after I bought a new truck, lol. Anyways, I haven't done alot yet, fixed all the interior switches so that they light up now. Replaced both rear regulators and fixed driver's power seat switch. Put some cheap fogs on, but bought the switch and relay on here so it kinda looks stock. Cleaned the living **** out of it, Meguiar's Ultimate Compound is awesome for dirty paint by the way. Got 05 rims and tires, probably gonna get windows tinted this weekend and really wanna order interior leds if I can ever get the right part numbers for the map and license lights.

Hi all, wife and I just bought a 94 Maxima VG30E auto (Australian spec), we're both from Brisbane Australia. Car has 270k km's on it with perfect compression still, VG30E really is a strong little engine.

We are also suffering from the dreaded injector curse but i'm working as a mechanic now so will be stripping down the plenum and intake manifold and cleaning everything while i'm swapping injectors over.

Great forum thats already given me a lot of help, thanks guys

I must be stupid.

Why cant I locate an IACV on my '92 GXE, VG30E motor?

Dont tell me its on the back side or underneath the the throttle body, because its not. Thats the VE30DE. The car has all the symptoms of a bad IACV, yet i'm beginning to think the engine doesnt even have one. Is it perhaps part OF the throttle body?

Any help, knowledge, photos would be greatly appreciated.

Wat up everybody??? I always loved the way those 87-88 maximas sounded when they rode by me. So I finially got one for $500 drove it for 2 years and wrecked it. I always liked the 3rd gens to But i fell in love with it when I drove one. I have had this maxima 1993 GXE for 3 years now, very reliable car! through the Org. I have advanced my mechanical skills, and have done the majority of upkeep and maintanence on my car all on my own. The org has helped me to save alot of money and helped me keep my car alot longer! Ive added a few mods, and at 237K miles she still can drag many newer cars!! Im MAXXED OUT!! GOTTA LOVE EM!!

BTW my name is Ivan and I am from Adelaide Australia, I currently own a 3rd gen Max although its not my first and more than likely not to be my last either.

You are right. Just move the arrow a little higher to that round looking piece and that is the IACV.

Yeah I realised my mistake after I posted it, I actually replaced the IACV not that long ago, had it confused with Intake Air Temp sensor.

Another owner that isn't 90 you mean haha...

New from Chicago, 90 bone stock right now down to the tapedeck radio. Just added some g35 rims, thinking about some 350z or 5th gen maxima rims. not too sure yet. Planning on forced induction, and trying to pull maybe 400hp without a motor swap. Never gets driven really, just rolling on 60k miles.

student in the **** my 1992 maxima starts... sometimes!

Hi,

Firstable I would like to thank you for this forum, it's a gift for people like me who need some help and are not really perfect technicians...

I'm an student from France in exchange in Vancouver to study english. I'm looking for some help for my 1992 maxima. I bough it in september for 600$ at a very decent price I think, it is a very heavy invesment for me but I'm very happy about this car working perfectly fine. I changed breaks and oil that's all the car needed and the car worked perfectly smooth until 1 month ago.

Now I've some problems when I start the car and only to start it because the car work fine once it's on the road. Just to describe a little my problem: When i put the key on I think I can hear the gas pump working, then when I try to start the car, there is no start I can only hear the noise like when it usualy start without any spark. So I can't accelerate or do anything more than trying to turn the key for the car to start. Usualy if I wait for 1 or 2 days the car start again... For a undertermined time!

I don't know if it's a gas or spark problem and I'm very worried because I need to pickup my girlfirend on saturday with my car at Seattle airport.

The car also had a minor problem because of the friend at the front bumper, the blinker is down and it need a bit o resin and paint... Nothing has been strach just a bit of plastic, which is the best solution to repair the blinker and make the strach disaper, resin?

Finnaly can you send me a idea of the price to solve the 2 problem.

Regards,

Alexandre.

If you are on Vancouver and you can physicaly help me as a mecanic I live on SFU campus, I will give you my phone number by private message

is it a SE or GXE? (spoiler, fogs, black mirrors, red decal engine or body colour mirrors, no spoiler, no fogs black decal engine?)

Ok my car is a SE (the red engine), my last mecanic told me it was the best engine if the color is not a good clue for you. I send you an image of my scrach. The car started after beating the starter. I noticed that the power of the starter is sometimes more slow and sometimes more powerfull
