I used a hairdryer, but it's not totally necessary. You can just peel them off kinda slowly. To get off the sticky stuff, I used bumper sticker remover. Make sure it's safe for your paint first.

if you remove the pinstripes, won't the paint be darker where they were because it hasn't faded like the rest of the car since it was covered up?

eh it's not too noticeable on my car. of course this could be because the car is white. i have to look REAL close and it's only when the car is clean that i can see where it was

I was wondering the same thing

To pinstrip or not to pinstrip that is the question. From my last fender bender the pinstrip from the left fender and drivers door was removed in-order to repair the damage. And I've been wondering if it would look better with or without the strips. I'm kinda leaning to no strips but who knows.

I've been trying to get mine off using goo-gone and a plastic scraper. It's working but it's a very slow process.

pinstripe accent

I've been thinking about that also, and I went down to Auto Zone last week, and I saw a decal accent kit...supposed to be perminent, but I can't be completely sure...The one they featured was sort of a squiggle that started at the front of the stripe and zig zagged through it...As soon as I get my car back from the dumb shop, I think I'll look into it....Unless I find a flame kit instead!
