Got CEL. 0505 No Failure Recorded/Detected?

No Failure Recorded/Detected? what does that mean? My light came on while I was on the street today. I just changed my fuel filter yesterday and I know that my 02 sensors are shot so when I went to check it, I was sure it was just gonna say bad 02, but i geto code 05 05. Anyone know if that means I got a problem?

EDIT: I think i found the problem. My engine light only comes on when I'm blasting my stereo when my rpms are low like sitting at a light or going 30-40mph on the street. I recently played around with the gains on my amp and mad my bass a little louder so I think more current may be getting drawn in. Is it possible for an instant voltage or current drop to cause the engine light to come on WITHOUT the battery light flashing on as well?

Also, the light came on again today, 3rd time in less than 24hrs.

can it really mean that because I'm positive all my 02 sensors are dead and the engine light came on while i was driving. thats the only reason i checked it.

engine light came back tonight, again, same 05 05 code. Just to be sure nothing is going wrong, what rpm should my car be at when sitting at a light in drive. This is an automatic. My rpms are at 500-550 when sitting at a light and around 700 when in park.

it mite be a ghost code. reset your ecu and see if it comes back in few days. if it doesn't, then ur car is fine.

i did the "counting the long pulse and short pulse" to my dad's '96 GLE last week and his max got the same code 0505.. and i thought nothing was wrong..
then after turning off the CEL, the next day, it came back on,
So i took it to Autozone since they check your CEL for free (i found out from my friend after i checked my dad's max)
and turns out he has three problems.
so take it to Autozone and have it checked for Free

thanks for the reply, sadly my car is a 1995 and to old for autozone to check. So maybe it is because of my faulty 02 sensors. Since I just replaced my fuel filter, my car might be getting more gas than its used to and since the 02 sensors measure the amount of unburnt gas (or something like that) they might be throwing the ecu off.

yeah, they didn't put OBDII (over whatever the acronym is) in car's until the 1996 production line. I missed by a freakin year.

Thats odd Bmr4life. The production date on mine is 4/94 and its OBD. Is this because its a GLE?

yeah it does suck, but my mom has taken it to autozone before and they were unable to hook it up. maybe i'm just one of the unlucky 95 owners.
